The program "Red Flower Color" donated funds to build 5 charity houses in Ben Tre

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on August 26, at the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee Hall, the Central Propaganda Department, the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper in coordination with the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee organized the Ceremony of presenting gratitude houses under the "Red Flower Color" Program in 2023.

Attending the program were comrades: Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ben Tre province; Nguyen Cong Dung, Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper; Duong Minh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Department, Deputy Head of the Southern Standing Agency, Central Propaganda Department; Colonel Nguyen Van Phuong, Party Secretary, Chairman of Tan Cang Pilot One Member Co., Ltd. - Saigon Newport Corporation...

Within the framework of the "Red Flower Color" Program in 2023, the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper coordinated with units and enterprises to donate funds to build 5 gratitude houses for policy families in difficult circumstances in Ben Tre province, each house worth 80 million VND, the total support fund is 400 million VND; in which Tan Cang Saigon Corporation donated 2 houses, Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Group donated 3 houses.

Speaking at the program, comrade Phan Xuan Thuy - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department shared: During the resistance wars, the army and people of Ben Tre united as one, overcame all difficulties and hardships, and excellently completed their missions. Many sons of the heroic homeland of Dong Khoi heroically sacrificed or left part of their blood and bones on the battlefield.

To express gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution, the Central Propaganda Department and the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper have made continuous efforts in organizing and maintaining the "Red Flower Color" Program over the past 16 years, with the desire to encourage the spirit and join hands to contribute more resources to help care for and help families with difficult circumstances.

Comrade Phan Xuan Thuy respectfully thanked and acknowledged the generosity of the sponsors who accompanied the "Red Flower Color" Program, contributing to the local Party Committee and government in caring for and helping people with revolutionary contributions.

Representing the households that received funding to build gratitude houses, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh in Dong Nhon hamlet, Luong Quoi commune, Giong Trom district, son of martyr Nguyen Van Rup, sincerely thanked the Central Propaganda Department, the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper, and other agencies, units, and sponsors.

Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ben Tre province, said that as of June 2023, the total number of meritorious people in the province was 151,678, including 35,666 martyrs (over 6,000 martyrs whose remains have not been found); 18,734 wounded soldiers (5,867 still alive); 1,606 sick soldiers (839 still alive) and 6,934 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers (163 of whom are still alive and have been cared for all their lives).
