On the afternoon of June 19, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) announced that Market Management Team No. 7 under the Market Management Department of Phu Tho province had transferred all documents and exhibits related to Tuan Duong & TKT Bird's Nest Company Limited (Phu Tho province) to the Investigation Police Agency of Phu Tho province Police, to clarify the act of producing and trading in counterfeit food products.
The decision was made after testing results showed that the company's bird's nest products did not meet the announced quality, with the total value of violations estimated at over 900 million VND.
Previously, as reported by SGGP Newspaper, in early June 2025, Market Management Team No. 7 coordinated with the Economic Police Department of Phu Tho Provincial Police and Market Management Teams No. 1 and No. 4 to suddenly inspect the production and business activities of this company at 2 addresses, including: No. 56 Phu Gia Street, Thanh Son Town (Thanh Son District, Phu Tho Province) and No. 1941 Hung Vuong Street, Gia Cam Ward, Viet Tri City.
At the time of inspection, the authorities discovered and temporarily seized 23,468 bird's nest products showing signs of not conforming to self-declared quality.
Market Management Team No. 7 took 8 samples and sent them to the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene for analysis. The results showed that all 8 samples of stewed bird's nest did not meet the main quality criteria, especially the protein content was only from 18% to 58%, while the lipid content was only about 3% compared to the level announced on the product label.
Based on the violations, the authorities drew up a working record with the company's representative, with the participation of representatives of the Phu Tho Provincial Department of Health and the Economic Police Department of Phu Tho Provincial Police.

From the test results, the authorities determined that all of the seized products were counterfeit.
Because the case showed signs of crime, Market Management Team No. 7 completed the file and transferred the case to Phu Tho Provincial Police for further investigation and handling.
