What happened to the two Ukrainian brigades that came to reinforce Pokrovsk?

Five Russian brigades attacked Pokrovsk, two Ukrainian brigades were reinforced, suddenly the radio screen went dark, and the frontline command was interrupted.

Russian special forces have entered the city of Pokrovsk and begun attacking important Ukrainian targets, the Military Review website reported. At least five Russian brigades have begun attacking Pokrovsk and have broken through the outer defenses.

To disperse RFAF forces in Pokrovsk, the Ukrainian army (AFU) launched a major counterattack in the Sumy region, but the RFAF quickly recaptured the village of Varachyne northeast of Sumy city, which had been recaptured by the AFU in the counterattack.

Russia's Rybar channel reported that five heavy infantry brigades of the RFAF are fiercely attacking Pokrovsk, and special forces have penetrated the city, putting the Ukrainian defense line there under unprecedented pressure.

According to information, the RFAF’s current tactics are relatively simple, which is to use fighter jets to bomb fortified targets, followed by large-scale artillery strikes, and finally FPV UAVs to destroy the remaining small targets. After “softening” the AFU defenses, the RFAF sends infantry, supported by tanks and armored vehicles, to attack forward.

Under heavy attack, the RFAF captured Novoekonomichne and occupied the peripheral positions northwest of the village of Boikivka. By 23 July, the RFAF had virtually taken control of the village of Fedorivka and was continuing its advance towards the strategic town of Rodinske. Another Russian unit had overrun Novoekonomichne; thus, east of Myrnohrad, the RFAF had completely captured it.

The northern front of Ukraine has been penetrated, the eastern front has been pushed back, and the RFAF has entered the outskirts of the city from the south. At this time, President Zelensky asked the AFU General Staff to assess whether the AFU can hold Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad for the next 50 days?

Currently, RFAF heavy weapons have begun to be assembled, and RFAF missiles, artillery, and other firepower are also ready to attack, and large-scale firepower attacks on Pokrovsk may be launched at any time. To cope with the dangerous situation, Ukraine continues to send two more reinforcement brigades to Pokrovsk.

Surprisingly, two AFU reinforcement brigades to Pokrovsk suddenly encountered a communication breakdown and lost contact with the front line. On the dusty streets of Pokrovsk, Russian commandos broke through on Shevchenko Street south, like a surgical operation.

In the skies above Pokrovsk, RFAF UAVs of various types hovered at low altitudes, determining the location of Ukrainian armored vehicles in real time, guiding commandos to accurately attack targets. At the same time, Russian commandos began attacking targets inside Pokrovsk.

At 11:30 p.m. on July 24, the Starlink Internet signal on the screen of a Ukrainian reinforcement command vehicle, 80 kilometers from Pokrovsk, suddenly lost signal, putting Ukraine's Donbass defense line on the brink of death.

The disruption of the Starlink system caused the Ukrainian support forces to lose contact with the frontline troops, and even lost contact with the command post. The Ukrainian frontline troops lost contact with the command post for 2.5 hours, and the 68th Brigade of the reinforcements engaged their own troops due to the communication disruption.

At the same time, more than 2,000 AFU reconnaissance and attack UAVs were damaged due to loss of control links, and the Russian armored convoy took the opportunity to break through the defense line.
