After more than 30 years working at FPT , witnessing many changes in technology and economy, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien, Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University admitted that he has never witnessed such a fierce wave, such a "great flood" that both destroys and recreates as terribly as artificial intelligence - AI.
He believes that AI has gone beyond the limits of technology, infiltrating every corner of life, creating a clear polarization in society. The speed of AI's development raises concerns: Can AI take our jobs?
From those realities and concerns, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien and Times Science andEducation Publishing Company collaborated to produce the book "Application of AI in business" - as a map to help readers have a correct view of AI and take appropriate actions in the new era.
The lectures, vivid examples and vision of AI are summarized in the book "Application of AI in business" which will be launched at 9:00 am on June 28 at FPT building, 10 Pham Van Bach, Hanoi .
Chapter 1 focuses on an overview of what AI has created and is creating. According to the author, the AI “flood” is having a profound impact on every field, from automated manufacturing, revolutionary medicine, to fields that require complex thinking such as programming.
Chapter 2 deals with AI Agents - autonomous systems that are capable of analyzing, planning and acting like a real employee, working tirelessly and without emotion.
In chapter 3, the author raises one of the most pressing problems created by AI: A “useless class” consisting not only of unskilled workers but also of office workers with degrees.
In Chapter 4, he emphasizes the role of leaders in the AI era. Chapter 5 addresses businesses on the threshold of change: To overcome the AI barrier, businesses must turn fears into breakthrough opportunities. Chapter 6 details the roadmap for bringing AI into businesses, which is essentially a process of changing culture and thinking, not simply purchasing tools.
Finally, in chapter 7, he returns to the story of Vietnamese people adapting to the digital age and affirms: No matter how powerful AI is, there are still core qualities that it cannot replace.
By writing this book, Mr. Tien hopes to change people's thinking, help them have the most correct perception of AI, understand its potential and how to apply AI effectively.

Mr. Hoang Nam Tien was born in 1969 in Hanoi, former Chairman of FPT Software, FPT Telecom. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University, in charge of postgraduate training activities.
He is known as an administrator, technology expert, and advisor in startup activities.
He published the book "Letter for You" about the wartime love story of his parents - Major General Hoang Dan and National Assembly Delegate Nguyen Thi An Vinh.
