Economic experts assess that Ha Nam will be a development coordinate in the near future.

Convenient connections help Ha Nam develop very quickly

How do you evaluate the urban development prospects of Ha Nam in the future?

– In the past 15 years, Ha Nam has gradually affirmed its momentum and relatively good position. The province has the second smallest area in the country, just larger than Bac Ninh, but Ha Nam's economic strength is not small. In terms of region, Ha Nam belongs to the Capital Region and the Red River Delta region - both of which are key national economic regions. In the future, Ha Nam's development prospects will be further multiplied thanks to the vision of the leaders combined with the new development approach of the region and the whole country.

In recent times, Ha Nam has mainly followed the direction of low-tech industry. This has caused Ha Nam to have a period of strong explosive development, but its technology and industrial level are not high; tourism and urban areas are not really outstanding.

The coming period can be considered a new era for Ha Nam when the province is striving to shape its prospects as a modern urban area, towards high-tech industry, a center for training high-quality human resources and an urban area associated with international integration.

The reason I mentioned the international integration factor is because Ha Nam is located on the route connecting national tourism centers, of which Tam Chuc tourist area is an important link. In the context of Vietnam striving to become a world-class tourism center, tourism development is synonymous with international integration. Thus, the way Ha Nam poses the problem is how to integrate into the general trend of the times, that is, international integration at a high level but still must be associated with its own uniqueness and difference.

In fact, Ha Nam is receiving great institutional support. The province is oriented to become a satellite city, and in the future a centrally-governed city associated with the capital. Looking at the development wings of Hanoi, the eastern wing is Highway 5 connecting to Hung Yen and Hai Duong; the western wing has connected to Ba Vi; the northern wing to Bac Ninh, these routes are complete. Thus, along with Ha Nam's development strategy, the southern wing of the development axis viewed from Hanoi has been supplemented with a complete route, especially on the journey to the South.

In this general vision of the city, I think Ha Nam has all the necessary conditions to attract investors. The sufficient condition now is how to attract high-quality investors. At that time, Ha Nam's development prospects will be realized.

In the future, Ha Nam will benefit greatly from the transport infrastructure system as it is located on the national arterial roads. What opportunities will that create in attracting investors and especially the Ha Nam real estate market , sir?

According to the plan, Ha Nam will be located on the 5th ring road with a length of about 331km passing through Hanoi city, Hoa Binh, Ha Nam, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc provinces. In addition, according to the general planning of Hanoi capital until 2045, with a vision to 2065, the South of the capital will also have an international airport. Along with that, the North-South high-speed railway will pass through Ha Nam.

When these projects are completed, Ha Nam will be closer to Hanoi, closer to the growth centers of the region and the whole country. Not only that, with an international airport in the South of the capital, Ha Nam will also be very close to the world. This is an extremely important point. Connecting with the world will help Ha Nam quickly develop. "When the roads are clear, the wealth is clear", when the roads are clear, development will explode. Ha Nam is the coordinate that promises such explosive development.

Not only does Ha Nam benefit from being surrounded by roads, but more importantly, the province can leverage its position and momentum with other development centers, such as the capital Hanoi. The clearest evidence is that there are currently two very large and modern central hospitals invested in Ha Nam. In the future, this will be an advantage, one could say a resource for Phu Ly to develop into a modern luxury urban area with high-class health care services. Along with that is a whole axis of spiritual tourism and cultural tourism corridor Tam Chuc (Ha Nam) - Bai Dinh, Trang An (Ninh Binh) - Huong Pagoda (Hanoi).

Visionary enterprises will help Ha Nam take off

He has analyzed a lot about Ha Nam's advantages, but to turn those advantages into practical results, what should Ha Nam do next?

– Those advantages are only potential. If Ha Nam wants to turn them into real competitive capabilities, there is still a lot of work to be done. One of the decisive factors is to invite the right businesses to invest. Ha Nam has long attracted investment, but only low-quality investment. If we want to turn the situation around, we need to welcome the “eagles” to invest at a high level.

The bright spot is that Ha Nam now has the presence of Sun Group, Xuan Truong... I think these two investors have the vision to create attraction, contributing to shaping the appearance of Ha Nam in the whole region. And when Ha Nam has created attraction, many other investors will come. Especially with Sun Group, we can all see their lesson when investing in Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Ha Long and Tay Ninh, they have created a quality "magnet" in attracting investment. Until now, we can also expect the same from Ha Nam.

– Overall, this is a very strong turning point. Sun Group has been determined and bold in undertaking a big project, seeing opportunities in a difficult situation. On one side is Ha Nam’s leadership with its aspiration and intelligence. On the other side is Sun Group with its experience, strength and vision. Together, they will turn comparative advantages into competitive advantages to help Ha Nam develop dramatically.

Time is created by people, if you hesitate you may lose the opportunity. Therefore, in my opinion, now is the right time to choose Ha Nam for investment.
