"The Fishing Village Story" is part of the Danang Enjoyment Festival 2025, taking place from June 19 to June 23.
The installation art space is built with 4 main themes: Fish Waves, Going Out to Sea, Salty Flavors and Mural Garden, inspired by the working life, activities and beliefs of fishermen in the coastal areas of Da Nang.
The installation space carries the breath of local cultural imprints, containing profound stories about the seafaring profession in Da Nang City.
"Fish Wave" impresses visitors when it is made of more than 1,600 meca fish or wood with ocean blue color, shimmering color changes to create a lively flow, like the flow of dreams and hopes reborn from the ocean.

The steel waves stretch high, combined with blue LED light penetrating through each curve and the light around the mouth of the basket, creating a magical light space like the rhythm of the ocean at night.
The work is 4.5m high, 5.5m wide, and 5.7m long, recreating the indomitable spirit of people who make a living from the sea.
"Going offshore" evokes the aspiration of the fishermen to reach high and far. The boats are vividly and creatively recreated with lighting effects that help evoke the resilience of fishermen to reach offshore.

Meanwhile, "Salty Flavor" recreates earthenware jars, oars, baskets, etc., evoking the image of the traditional fish sauce making profession.
This art installation space creates a sense of peace, the pace of life seems to slow down to listen to the simple breath of life after each sea trip.
Finally, visitors will admire the paintings depicting the beauty of labor, diligence and hard work of coastal people through the "Mural Garden". The paintings are simple but contain the soul of the fishing village, genuine, passionate and full of humanity.

Each work is imbued with the breath of the ocean with slices of everyday life, such as scenes of fish drying in the sun, people throwing nets out to sea, skillful hands weaving nets or the radiant eyes of children next to a tray of dried fish, depicted on a waterproof painted wooden wall 2.1m high, 1.2cm thick, and from 1.2m to 2.4m long.
Delighted with the recreated images of the fishing village, Ms. Phan Thi Uyen Ly (35 years old, a resident of Da Nang City) took beautiful photos in the installation art space "Fishing Village Story".
"The fishing village has been created very vividly and beautifully. The fishing village is recreated with a very unique but also very familiar language and method. I think this is a way to help young people, especially Gen Z, easily access traditional culture," Ms. Phan Thi Uyen Ly shared.

"I was very impressed with the works displayed at Man Thai beach. I watched and explained to my children about the stories and life in the fishing village. We also took beautiful photos at this art space," Quynh Trang shared.
In particular, the art space "Fishing Village Story" also features the performance of "Ba Trao" singing - a folk art form associated with the whale worship and traditional fishing ceremony of coastal people.
In addition, visitors can also participate in activities such as experiencing net pulling and net weaving with fishermen...
