Welcoming the VESAMO delegation to visit and work in Vietnam, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien affirmed that the Vietnam-Korea relationship is a special symbol of political trust, dynamism, sustainability in economic cooperation, and deep attachment in people-to-people exchange.
Mr. Do Van Chien affirmed to continue supporting the development policies of Korea and is ready to closely coordinate with the other side to effectively implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries to increasingly deepen, become more substantial, and effective, bringing benefits to the people of both countries.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee affirmed that the great achievements of the bilateral relationship have important contributions from people-to-people diplomacy, including VESAMO.
At the reception, VUFO President Phan Anh Son expressed his gratitude to VESAMO for always showing good feelings to the Vietnamese community in Korea, to victims of Agent Orange/dioxin and poor Vietnamese students; and introduced the economic and social development situation of Vietnam.
Mr. Phan Anh Son emphasized that VUFO and the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association will continue to closely coordinate with VESAMO and Korean partners and people's organizations to effectively implement agreements of high-ranking leaders and enhance people-to-people exchange activities.

During this visit, the delegation attended and broke ground on two Charity houses in Ung Hoa district and presented livelihood money to 10 families worth a total of 100 million VND; visited and explored investment cooperation opportunities in Quang Ninh province; and organized the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Exchange Night to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification in Hanoi.
VESAMO is a non-profit organization, founded in 2002 in Busan, Korea. Its members are scholars, businessmen, lawyers, artists, intellectuals and many other classes of society. Over the past 20 years, VESAMO has always given good feelings and practical support to the Vietnamese community in Korea; actively organized meetings, friendly exchanges, and promoted investment between the two sides. |
