On the morning of June 6, Thanh Hoa FC apologized and refunded tickets to fans who could not enter the stadium to watch the match against Hanoi Police FC. About 300 fans came to receive the refund.
The day before, Thanh Hoa Stadium welcomed about 11,000 spectators to watch the match between the home team and Hanoi Police Club in round 11 of V-League 2023. The capacity of the stands and the number of tickets sold were not enough to meet the fans' demand.
Many people had to stand outside when the organizers decided to close the stadium when there was no more space inside to ensure security and safety for the match. Hundreds of fans had tickets but had to leave due to objective reasons.

With the great encouragement of the home crowd, Thanh Hoa players played enthusiastically and scored an early opening goal in the 17th minute. The scorer was Lam Ti Phong. Gustavo equalized for the Hanoi Police Club in the 37th minute.
Thanh Hoa had a chance to restore the gap but Bruno missed a penalty kick in the second half. The home team turned the game around when Jhon Cley, Hoang Van Toan, and Vu Van Thanh scored in succession. Hanoi Police Club won 4-1.
Despite losing this match, Thanh Hoa still holds the top spot. However, Hanoi Police Club has reduced the gap to only 1 point.

This season, Thanh Hoa has improved thanks to the presence of coach Velizar Popov. The Bulgarian coach has created a united team, playing with dedication despite not having many stars.
