The Da Nang City Drainage and Wastewater Treatment Company said that the Cam Le River area has 17 discharge gates. According to the reporter's records, many discharge gates discharge wastewater directly into the river, causing a strong stench and polluting the river.
Wastewater discharged into Cam Le River
In recent days, people living along Thang Long Street, Cam Le District have complained about the foul smell coming from the discharge gates into Cam Le River. In the afternoon, the wastewater flows out black, creating a black patch on the bank of Cam Le River.
White foaming wastewater flows into Cam Le River at the outlet near Nguyen Tri Phuong Bridge.
The wastewater discharged into the bay before flowing into the river is pitch black and has a strong odor.
Standing on the riverbank, you can see that this outlet causes serious pollution.
From above, it is easy to see part of the black wastewater flowing into the river.
At the outlet near the foot of Nguyen Tri Phuong bridge on Thang Long street (in Khue Trung ward, Cam Le district), black wastewater flows out with a strong stench. At this outlet, there is a bay of water flowing into Cam Le river. This bay of water is mainly wastewater, so it is pitch black, completely different from the color of the river water outside.
The area along the Cam Le River bank is quite overgrown with vegetation. People often walk on the sidewalk about 10 meters from the bank and only smell the stench but cannot see the discharge gates.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh (residing in Cam Le district) said that he used to go fishing in this river area by motorboat. Recently, when he discovered a foul smell coming from this area and while using the motorboat to run along the river bank, he discovered the discharge gates.
The outlet is located behind the Exhibition Center.

If standing on Thang Long street, it is very difficult to see this outlet because it is located under a layer of quite dense vegetation.
Concerns about Cam Le River being polluted when receiving wastewater from these discharge gates
Near Hoa Xuan Bridge, water from Do Xu Canal also causes pollution. This canal is "famous" for year-round pollution and has been treated with many measures. However, according to records, the canal water is quite black and smells bad.

On the other side of Cam Le River in Hoa Xuan ward, near Ton That Duong Ky street, wastewater from Hoa Xuan ecological urban area also flows directly into the river.
