10-year-old girl wins Vietnam-Cuba songwriting contest

Tram Anh is a student of class 5G, Vietnam-Cuba Primary School ( Hanoi ). Despite her young age, she composed the song “Viva Vietnam-Viva Cuba” with a cheerful, lively melody and simple lyrics, expressing pure feelings for the two peoples of Vietnam and Cuba. The song is considered to be full of emotions, conveying the spirit of friendship and pride of the school named after two close countries.

“I am very happy and excited to participate in the songwriting contest about the friendship between Vietnam and Cuba. I study at the Vietnam-Cuba Primary School, so every day I feel the close bond between the two peoples. That is what helped me compose and sing to say thank you, so that my friends can know about that beautiful friendship,” Tram Anh shared about her inspiration for writing.

At the ceremony, alongside the high-ranking representatives of the two countries, the image of a small girl with a bright smile and holding a certificate in her hand became a special highlight. According to the Organizing Committee, the participation of young faces like Tram Anh is a testament to the program's influence - where music becomes a bridge connecting the emotions between generations of Vietnam and Cuba.

Nguyen Tram Anh has a talent for music and hosting.

Born in 2015 in Hanoi, Nguyen Tram Anh is one of the young faces who is considered to have outstanding talent in the fields of music and hosting. She possesses a warm, emotional voice and a confident, professional stage presence. In addition to her singing ability, Tram Anh also shows her talent as an MC with her flexible and natural leading ability.

In the past time, I have participated in many big programs and events such as "Tet chia, Tet yeu", "Welcome Xuan At Ty 2025" on VTV6, and the international exchange event "Tet Viet - Colors of Interweaving". Before that, in November 2024, I and Miss H'Hen Nie participated in the program "Dancing for Kindness", spreading positive messages to the community.

Nguyen Tram Anh was honored to take a souvenir photo with Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam.

Not only stopping at the role of a child singer, Tram Anh also won the "Vietnamese Identity MC" award at the 2023 National Child MC Competition - a milestone marking her maturity in her journey of pursuing art.

In particular, in January 2025, he continued to make his mark when he received the first quarter award in the "Composing with Crickets" Writing Contest organized by the Literature and Arts Times in collaboration with Digital Knowledge Media Corporation (TTS) and CinePlus, affirming his diverse creative abilities.

Behind the initial successes, Tram Anh always received the companionship and support of her parents, who created conditions for her to study and develop in a professional artistic environment. Her parents said that despite being busy with her studies, she still maintained a progressive spirit, actively participating in gifted classes in vocal music and MC skills.

With her love of music, her spirit of learning and her confidence in front of the public, Tram Anh is gradually asserting herself as a promising face in the generation of young Vietnamese artists - "little ambassadors" who contribute to spreading friendship and national pride through music.

The songwriting campaign “Vietnam-Cuba, forever echoing the song of solidarity and friendship” organized by the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations in coordination with relevant units received 140 works from 124 authors across the country, thereby selecting 65 excellent songs to be published in the music collection of the same name.

This demo collection was also presented to Cuban Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes as a beautiful symbol of friendship and music between the two peoples.
