Gia Lai raises awareness of the position and role of culture

The People's Committee of Gia Lai province has just issued Plan No. 92/KH-UBND on continuing to implement Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure) on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development.

The purpose of implementing the plan is to specify and assign tasks to departments, branches, sectors and localities to implement Decision No. 1669/QD-TTg and Plan No. 06-KH/TU, identify key and key tasks of each field and implementation time, as a basis for developing the annual work program.

At the same time, create a strong change in the awareness and actions of all levels, sectors, localities and people in the province towards the cause of building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to truly become the "foundation", "endogenous resources", "soft power", "development driving force" of the country in general and Gia Lai province in particular, quickly and sustainably in the new era.

In this plan, the Provincial People's Committee has proposed 5 main groups of tasks and solutions to implement the plan, including: Continuing to promote propaganda, dissemination, and raising awareness of the position and role of culture, of building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development. Preserving and sustainably promoting national cultural values.

Culture is the endogenous strength for a country to survive and develop.

VHO - Since the Party's founding, in the 1930 Platform as well as the Party's platform documents and resolutions, the issue of culture has always been placed in a top priority position, linked to the issue of human development. Even before gaining power, our Party had proposed the policy of building and developing a new culture.

Building Gia Lai people to develop comprehensively, closely linked with building a cultural environment. Promoting the development of cultural industries, proactively integrating into international culture and absorbing the quintessence of human culture. Mobilizing all resources and motivations to build and develop Gia Lai culture and people.

To achieve the set goals, the Provincial People's Committee requires departments, branches and localities, according to their functions and tasks, to be proactive and creative, to strengthen close coordination in developing and implementing implementation plans, to propose budget allocation and to mobilize necessary resources to carry out assigned tasks.

Notably, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches, sectors, organizations and localities to organize the implementation of tasks and solutions of the plan, clearly define each group of tasks, develop plans and organize annual implementation; be responsible for the progress, results and effectiveness of the plan.

In addition, coordinate with agencies and localities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of culture; strengthen the management, protection and promotion of tangible and intangible cultural heritage values in the province according to current regulations; improve the quality of family work.

Promote the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", build a cultural life in offices and enterprises, effectively integrating it with the new rural construction program.

Create a healthy cultural environment; promote library activities serving the grassroots; diversify mobile propaganda team activities, encouraging the participation of the masses, especially in remote areas and ethnic minority areas.

Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Education and Training to strengthen coordination between schools, families and society in educating children and students. Promote propaganda and education work, raise awareness among students and trainees about the sense of responsibility in protecting and developing the culture and art of the Vietnamese people in general and of Gia Lai province in particular.

Continue to implement solutions to build a culture of behavior, practice social skills and create a healthy educational environment in schools; synchronously deploy education on ideals, ethics, lifestyle, knowledge associated with training, improving physical strength and stature for children and students. Strive to build schools into cultural and educational centers; continue to bring moral education content associated with historical traditions, national culture, and heritage teaching into schools.

In addition, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions is assigned to propagate and mobilize religious dignitaries, heads of religious establishments, and prestigious people in the community to practice civilized lifestyles, preserve and promote traditional cultural values and good customs and practices of the nation at religious establishments and communities.

Ensure the right to freedom of religion and belief of individuals, equality between religions before the law; combat, prevent and handle acts of violating the right to freedom of belief and religion or taking advantage of freedom of belief and religion to engage in illegal activities.

The Provincial Literature and Arts Association gathers and unites members with strong political will, promotes creative talents, creates conditions and mobilizes members to participate in creating works of art with high ideology and artistry.

Discover and nurture literary and artistic talents in the province; build a team of young artists and writers, creating a source of successors for future development; create a literary and artistic playground for young people aiming at the values of "Truth - Goodness - Beauty".
