In the nearly 2-minute video shared on social media, the teacher is locked in the classroom. More than a dozen students corner the teacher, constantly cursing, throwing things at her, and cheering. Occasionally, these students hold sticks and fans, point at her face, and try to snatch the phone from her hand. The teacher does not resist.

Responding to VnExpress on the morning of December 5, Mr. Bui Xuan Luong, Chairman of Van Phu Commune, Son Duong District, said he received a report from Van Phu Secondary School last Friday. The incident happened in class 7C, where the teacher in the clip was teaching Music. Mr. Luong said "the incident came from both sides."
According to the Chairman of Van Phu Commune, this Music teacher has repeatedly made "market" statements, which are not up to standard when communicating with students. She was also recently warned by the school for this behavior.
"The students had been disrespectful to the teacher before, and that day the teacher also had inappropriate behavior or statements, leading to the students' behavior," Mr. Luong informed.
The commune has invited the authorities, the police of Son Duong district, and the parents of the students involved to the school for a meeting on December 2. Mr. Luong said that the student will be temporarily punished by writing a self-criticism, because the teacher was absent from the meeting.
Today the commune and the school board will meet with the teacher to clarify the matter, then come up with a solution.
Head of the Departmentof Education and Training of Son Duong district - Tran Van But said the incident happened "a long time ago". The education sector is coordinating with the authorities to clarify the incident and will provide information after the verification results are available.
