According to Ms. Suong, not long ago, on the way to Sat village to teach, because the road was slippery and muddy, she unfortunately fell, the broken saddle fell off the bike. At that time, some local people who were coming back from harvesting cassava helped Ms. Suong up and re-assembled the bike, and conveniently took some pictures.

"I fell but luckily I wasn't injured. I found the pictures people took funny so I posted them online for fun. I didn't expect many websites to bring them up, and many people commented, shared, and encouraged me," said Ms. Suong.

Ms. Suong is a native of the border commune of Truong Son. After leaving the university, she returned to her hometown to work. For more than 2 years, Ms. Suong has been assigned to teach at the Sat village school, a poor village, almost isolated from the central area. The majority of the village's residents are Bru-Van Kieu people.

The Sat village school, where Ms. Suong works, is 17km from the center and has 15 children of 3 ages. There is no electricity in Sat village yet, and the road to the village is steep, muddy, and deserted. On the way to the village to teach, Ms. Suong fell in the mud many times and had to walk because her bike broke down.

"I fell because the road was slippery and I couldn't keep my footing. There were times when my bike broke down in the middle of the road and I had to leave it and walk to the village to make it on time, then ask the villagers to help fix the bike so I could go home. It was partly my job responsibility, but I also loved my children and wanted to contribute to taking care of and raising those who will change this land in the future," Ms. Suong added.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Hoang Thi Hau, Principal of Truong Son Commune Kindergarten, said that the school has 1 main campus and 12 separate campuses. Because the villages are far from the center and travel conditions are difficult, teachers often have to go to each village to teach.

Due to the long distance and difficult travel, most of the teachers stay at the school and only go to the central school on weekends. With the attention of the authorities at all levels, the lives of the people have gradually changed for the better but there are still many difficulties.

Truong Son commune has a large area, the terrain is mainly rugged hills and mountains, transportation is difficult, there are villages very far from the commune center. More than 60% of the population here are Bru-Van Kieu people, the poverty rate is still high, people's lives mainly depend on the forest.
