Opportunity to buy the bottom when choosing to buy an urban SUV, some models are reduced up to 80 million VND

Many urban SUV models are being offered incentives worth up to tens of millions of VND to revive sales after a reported decline. This is an opportunity for consumers to “buy the bottom” because models in this segment are often in the top sellers, and the discount incentives are not as high as they are now.

With a total of 4,727 vehicles delivered to Vietnamese customers since the beginning of the year, the Toyota Corolla Cross is temporarily the best-selling urban SUV in the market. However, sales of this model in April 2023 also decreased by more than 10% compared to the previous month.

Currently, some Toyota dealers are offering a maximum incentive of VND 80 million for customers who buy Toyota Corolla Cross in May. This incentive is currently applied to Corolla Cross models with VIN number 2022. In addition, customers who buy Toyota Corolla Cross cars manufactured in the new year 2023 will also receive a maximum incentive of VND 30 million in May.

In May, Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam confirmed the implementation of registration fee incentives for all products in the Vietnamese market.

Accordingly, many dealers are currently announcing cash discounts and accessories with a total value equivalent to 100% of the registration fee for customers buying Hyundai Creta cars this month. Notably, the models enjoying the incentives are Creta cars produced in 2023.

Meanwhile, Kia Seltos is also discounted by 50-60 million VND for different versions, with the highest discount belonging to the Premium version of the 1.4L Turbo engine as well as the 1.6 Premium version.

As the only urban SUV model with positive sales growth in April 2023, Honda HR-V is currently only enjoying incentives equivalent to VND 10 million at a few dealers.

Meanwhile, Mazda is offering a maximum discount of 69 million VND for customers buying Mazda CX-3 in May. The highest discount is applied to the 1.5 Luxury version, while the remaining versions also enjoy discounts worth 15-63 million VND.

The B-class SUV with a gasoline engine operating with the only electric motor in the segment, Nissan Kicks, is being offered by dealers with a 100% discount on registration fees, a one-year physical insurance package, and accessories worth 20 million VND. This program is only for the batch of Nissan Kicks produced in 2022. The listed price of this gasoline-powered electric SUV is 789 million VND for the E version and 858 million VND for the V version.

In the Vietnamese market, Nissan does not periodically announce business results for its car lines. Therefore, the appeal of Nissan Kicks in the Vietnamese market at the present time has not been accurately assessed.
