Many hotels in Hue call on students to take shelter from storm No. 12 for free

Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, has asked the authorities of Thuan An ward and Khe Tre commune to review the plan to evacuate people affected by coastal erosion and landslides to a safe place before the storm makes landfall.

At the same time, the government, military and police forces are required to be on 100% standby, ready to rescue people in case of bad situations due to natural disasters. Investors constructing works in the area must have plans to ensure the safety of workers and works before the storm hits.

On the same day, Colonel Nguyen Viet Hoang, Deputy Director of Hue City Police, said that he had mobilized about 2,000 officers and soldiers from police units and localities; 408 comrades from the Mobile Police Battalion in the City Police's combat reserve; 2,500 comrades from the Security and Order Protection Force at the grassroots level to closely follow the area to ensure security and order, protect the safety of the people; ready to arrange search and rescue forces, set up posts, erect barriers, warn in vulnerable areas at risk of landslides, deeply flooded roads, guide to limit traffic, ensure safety for people and vehicles.

Hue City Police have prepared 27 fire trucks, rescue vehicles, 200 high-chassis cars, 231 canoes, rubber boats, 217 generators, 202 hand-held saws, and thousands of life jackets, lifebuoys, rafts, etc. to be ready to operate and use to respond to situations and incidents, ensuring smooth communication to carry out tasks.

Hue City Police proactively worked, requiring units currently constructing on the routes to sign a commitment to ensure construction safety, install barriers and warnings at 18 construction sites, ensuring safety for people and vehicles passing by before the storm arrives.

On October 22, many hotels in Hue City called on people and students living in flooded areas to come to Poetic Hue Hotel (24/26 Vo Thi Sau, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City), Cleopatra Villa (Thuy Xuan Ward), Sunshine Villa (Thuan An Ward)... to take shelter from the storm for free.

Many schools in Hue City have also prepared food and drinks to welcome residents and students taking shelter from storm No. 12.
