The talks aimed to agree on important contents and sign a memorandum of agreement on organizing coordinated forces to search for and collect the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Stung Treng province in the 2025-2026 dry season.

Receiving and working with the delegation of Gia Lai Provincial Task Force was Mr. Men Kung - Deputy Governor, Head of Stung Treng Provincial Task Force.
In the spirit of open exchange, cooperation and responsibility, the Task Force of Gia Lai and Stung Treng provinces agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding. One of the key tasks is that the two provinces will strengthen coordination and strive to find 7-10 or more martyrs' remains during the 2025-2026 dry season.
To complete the assigned task, it is expected that from November 10, 2025 to May 31, 2026, Gia Lai province will deploy 29 people and vehicles to search for and collect martyrs' remains in 7 districts and cities of Stung Treng province.
After the end of the 2025-2026 dry season, the province will arrange for a unit to stay in Stung Treng to continue surveying, searching, and collecting during the rainy season, from June 10, 2026 to November 30, 2026.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Governor and Head of the Provincial Committee of Stung Treng Men Kung affirmed: The Cambodian people will never forget the great contributions and sacrifices of the heroic martyrs and Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who fell, helping the people of the land of pagodas to overthrow the Pol Pot genocidal regime and revive it for the second time.
With the responsibility of today's generation, the Task Force, authorities at all levels, armed forces and people of Stung Treng province will make every effort, continue to closely coordinate with the Task Force of Gia Lai province, Team K52 to search for more and more remains of martyrs who sacrificed their lives in Stung Treng province.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich sent her sincere thanks to the Specialized Committee, authorities at all levels and people of Stung Treng province for their enthusiastic support, helping Team K52 search and collect 9 martyrs' remains in the dry season of 2024-2025; bringing the total number of martyrs' remains searched and collected in Stung Treng province from 2001 to present to 436 remains.
It is forecasted that in the dry season of 2025-2026 and the following years, the search and collection of martyrs' remains will face many difficulties as information and witnesses providing martyrs' burial locations are increasingly scarce; the search and collection areas have many changes compared to the previous martyrs' burial scheme.
Therefore, Head of Gia Lai Provincial Task Force Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich hopes that Stung Treng Provincial Task Force will continue to support and help, strengthen propaganda and mobilize people of all walks of life, monks, nuns, and Buddhists at pagodas to provide information and help Team K52 in performing its tasks.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also informed: After implementing the 2-level local government model, Gia Lai province (new) is now expanding its space and development space with a large plateau, 134 km of coastline, fertile plains, 2 airports, seaports, railways, roads...
This is an important premise for the province to break through, develop and play a leading role in growth of the entire Central Highlands region in the next period.
In particular, this coming December, the province will start construction on the Quy Nhon-Pleiku expressway project, connecting Quy Nhon seaport to Le Thanh international border gate, opening up opportunities for trade connection between Gia Lai province and the northeastern provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
In addition to the information that Gia Lai province is preparing many important contents to serve the high-ranking delegation of the province who will visit and work with the leaders of Stung Treng province in the near future, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich also respectfully conveyed the greetings and invitations from the Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan to the Provincial Governor Sor Soputra and the leaders of Stung Treng province to arrange the earliest time to visit Gia Lai province to discuss and cooperate in investment in many fields, in order to promote the socio -economic development of the two provinces to go deeper and more effectively.

At the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich presented a support amount of 13,000 USD from the Vietnamese Government to the Stung Treng Provincial Task Force to serve the search and collection of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia during the 2025-2026 dry season. At the same time, gifts were presented to members of the Stung Treng Provincial Task Force.
On this occasion, the working delegation of Gia Lai Provincial Task Force and the Command of Military Region I (Royal Cambodian Army) also came to offer incense to the heroic martyrs at the Cambodia-Vietnam Heroic Martyrs Monument in Stung Treng city, Stung Treng province.
