According to the resolution of Quoc Cuong Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (QCG), Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong became the legal representative and general director of this enterprise from July 22.
Previously, Mr. Cuong's mother - Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Loan took on these two roles. She was arrested on July 19 for allegedly violating the law in the transfer of the project 39-39B Ben Van Don, Ho Chi Minh City.
Quoc Cuong Gia Lai will hold its second annual meeting in Ho Chi Minh City on July 30. The first meeting of this enterprise was unsuccessful due to the attendance rate not meeting the requirements.
At next week's meeting, the company will submit to the shareholders' meeting the dismissal of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Loan. At the same time, Quoc Cuong Gia Lai will elect Mr. Cuong as an additional member of the Board of Directors for the 2022-2027 term.
By the end of last year, Mr. Cuong owned more than 537,000 QCG shares, while Ms. Loan held nearly 102 million shares, equivalent to 37% of the capital. In addition, Ms. Loan's daughter - Nguyen Ngoc Huyen My held nearly 39.4 million shares, equivalent to more than 14% of Quoc Cuong Gia Lai's capital.
Born in 1982, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the Board of Directors and Deputy General Director of QCG. By the end of 2018, Mr. Cuong had stepped down from these two roles in the context of the company's difficult business operations at that time.
He then established Chanh Nghia Quoc Cuong Joint Stock Company (C-Holdings), specializing in developing real estate projects in Binh Duong . Up to now, this investor has handed over a project of more than 1,400 apartments in Thu Dau Mot City and is completing another apartment project also in Binh Duong.
Today, QCG shares continued to fall to the limit, down to 7,850 VND per unit. This is the third consecutive session that this code has hit the floor, after Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Loan was arrested last weekend. At the end of today's session, this code had more than 6.94 million shares left to sell on the floor.
