Winter-spring rice fields in Hai Duong are basically harvested by modern combine harvesters.

Basically, all rice areas are harvested by combine harvesters, so the progress is fast. Kim Thanh district has the fastest rice harvest progress in the province with nearly 4,000 hectares (reaching 98% of the total crop area).

Along with the rice harvest, farmers in the province have plowed about 2,000 hectares of land and sown about 30 hectares of rice seedlings.

In recent times, Hai Duong has often experienced thunderstorms, causing many rice fields to fall. This weather pattern is forecast to continue in the coming days. To limit the impact of thunderstorms on rice yields, experts recommend that farmers promptly harvest ripe rice following the motto "it's better to be green at home than to be old in the fields".

As soon as farmers harvest rice, they mobilize plows to turn the soil, bury the rice, and sprinkle biological products to help the straw decompose quickly, avoiding organic poisoning for the rice crop after transplanting. They proactively sow rice seedlings for the crop to ensure the rice structure, rice varieties, and planting season.

Hai Duong strives to complete the winter-spring rice harvest by June 25, shifting focus to planting the summer-autumn crop.
