Details of the cases were announced by Dien Bien Provincial Police: Between 12:15 and 16:30 on April 2, members of two permanent drug crime prevention and control working groups of Dien Bien Police in Louangphabang and Uodomxay provinces coordinated to draw up administrative violation records and arrest two Lao nationals for the acts of storing and transporting weapons, explosives and illegal drug trafficking.
The evidence seized from the two subjects included: 20 cakes (120,000 synthetic drug pills); 10 boxes (650 bullets) of unidentified type, without documents proving origin.
At the investigation agency, the two subjects were initially identified as Xieng Bua Phat Phim Ma Son (born in 1962) and Tao Mua (born in 2004).
Then, from 3:05 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on April 5, at the area of kilometer cluster 32, Muang Xay district, Uodomxay province, the working group continued to discover and arrest 3 Lao nationals for illegally transporting drugs, including: Kham Phan Xeng Xay Ti (born in 2003), Phon Na Sinh Si Pa Sot (born in 2005), Xua Giang (also known as Giang Thi Xua, born in 1990).
The evidence seized from the subjects included 10 cakes (60 thousand synthetic drug pills), 3 kg of opium, 2 bottles of khat leaf water and 1 bag of khat leaves.

Expanding the investigation, the authorities conducted an emergency search of the suspect Kham Chan (born in 1985) residing at Km32, Km32, Muang Xay district, discovered and seized 4kg of khat leaves, 1 package of water distilled from khat leaves (86 bottles), 85 bottles of chemicals to mix DATISSIN brand khat leaf water, 45 electronic cigarettes, and half a sack containing an empty bottle to store khat leaf water.

The continuous arrest of criminals in Laos demonstrates the effectiveness of the Dien Bien Police Standing Task Force, effectively promoting the cooperation mechanism on drug and crime prevention and control between the two countries, contributing to the creation and construction of a strong, drug-free border "belt".
At the same time, this is the concrete action to realize the directive of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security "Preventing and stopping early, from afar, from the starting point; fighting the whole network, arresting the masterminds and leaders" contributing to further promoting international cooperation and trust between Dien Bien Provincial Police and the Police of northern Laos provinces.
