At a coffee shop in lane 210 Doi Can street (Ngoc Ha ward) on the evening of November 21, one can see some… strange things. In front of each person sitting at the shop is not a cup of coffee or a soft drink, but a paper vehicle registration and driver’s license; appearing on the smartphone screen are not social networking sites, but… the iHanoi application.
Here, many residents of residential group 11B (Ngoc Ha ward) were guided by the local police force and volunteer students to update vehicle registration data and driver's licenses.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Xuan Binh, an officer of the local police team (Ngoc Ha Ward Police) said that in order to achieve the highest efficiency in checking and updating vehicle registration data and driver's licenses, not only "going to every alley, knocking on every door", but in areas far from community centers, the local police force also "borrowed" houses to have a place to invite people to carry out procedures.
“This is convenient for the people, so the people as well as businesses agree and support. Today, we also received enthusiastic support from students from the Academy of Public Administration and Management,” said Lieutenant Colonel Tran Xuan Binh.
Ms. Tran Thi Bich Huong, Head of Residential Group No. 11B (Ngoc Ha Ward) said that through the mobilization of the residential group and the local police, many households and businesses have helped with locations so that the authorities can complete the task of checking and updating vehicle registration data and driver's licenses in the area.

At the same time, Captain Vu Hoang, an officer of the local police team (Ngoc Ha Ward Police) and an officer of residential group No. 5A also came to Ms. Hoang Thi Nga's house to guide her on updating vehicle registration data and driver's license. After being guided by Captain Vu Hoang on some steps, Ms. Hoang Thi Nga was able to easily update her driver's license data on the iHanoi application.
Emphasizing that the police force alone cannot do all the work to ensure progress, Captain Vu Hoang said that the local police will go to meetings with the residential groups so that the officers of the residential groups and residential areas can grasp the situation first, then mobilize the households. "Only with the coordination and support of the political system at the grassroots level can the work of reviewing and updating data information be effectively carried out," Captain Vu Hoang said.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Duc, Head of Ngoc Ha Ward Police, said that the data provided by the Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) to the Ward Police was 30,525 households with a total of about 120,000 data on vehicles that needed to be cleaned. By the evening of November 21, Ngoc Ha Ward Police had updated data on the iHanoi application for nearly 6,000 cases of motorbike and car registration; provided and collected data on the iHanoi application for nearly 4,000 cases of driver's licenses.

“According to the assessment, Ngoc Ha Ward Police have met the city's targets and will ensure the successful implementation of the 45-day peak period of reviewing and updating vehicle registration and driver's license data that the ward has set out,” said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Duc.
According to the Chief of Ngoc Ha Ward Police, the general review and update of vehicle registration data and driver's licenses in Ngoc Ha Ward is the shared responsibility of relevant agencies and units, not just the task of the police force alone.
If the ward police are the main implementing unit, the ward's Department of Culture and Society is assigned to promote propaganda work to the people; the ward's Department of Economy - Infrastructure and Urban Affairs advises on implementation; the ward's People's Council and People's Committee Office are responsible for inspection and urging, and the Fatherland Front and mass organizations and residential groups coordinate implementation at the grassroots level.
According to Vice Chairman of Ngoc Ha Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Hung, conducting a general review and updating of vehicle registration and driver's license data is one of the key tasks of Project 06 in the ward. This is not only a professional requirement, but also demonstrates the shared responsibility of the entire political system in building a transparent and accurate digital administration to serve the people better and better.
