Early morning and evening of November 21, the temperature in the Fansipan mountain area was low, at many times -3 degrees Celsius. The influence of the cold air of early winter caused a thin layer of frost to cover the paths, stone steps, and wooden floors for tourists to watch the clouds.

Similarly, frost appeared early on the road leading to the top of Ta Xua, surprising the tourist community and local people.
Mr. Phang A Chia said that in 14 years of leading tourists to Ta Xua, this was the first time he saw frost appear so early. In the early morning, the ice stuck to tree branches, grass blades and spread down to the road surface at an altitude of about 2,600 m.

According to forecasts, on the night of November 22, the temperature in the Fansipan and Ta Xua mountain areas will remain low, and there is a high possibility that ice, snow, and frost will continue to occur.
Late 2025 and early 2026 are expected to be a period of more severe weather, with the risk of prolonged cold spells.
In the high mountainous areas of Lao Cai , extreme phenomena such as frost, frost, and even snow can occur with higher frequency.
