The leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health emphasized that in any difficult circumstances, the Ho Chi Minh City Health sector is always ready to join hands to support localities severely affected by floods, identifying this as both a responsibility and a deep affection of the City named after Uncle Ho. This spirit is clearly demonstrated through the mobilization of emergency medical forces, the deployment of mobile medical examination and treatment teams and the mobilization of "family medicine bags" to the hands of people in flood-affected areas.

Accordingly, leaders of hospitals and affiliated medical units reviewed the number of doctors, nurses, and technicians that could be mobilized immediately upon receiving assignments from the Ministry of Health and the provinces. The affiliated units have activated the standing mode, focusing on sending mobile medical examination and treatment teams to flood areas to examine patients, dispense medicine, provide medical advice, and at the same time support vehicles, chemicals for environmental treatment, and medical supplies for emergency and treatment.

Following the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Thong Nhat Hospital mobilized 10 doctors and drivers to provide emergency support to Khanh Hoa province. After only 2 hours of receiving the mission, all preparations were completed. At exactly 22:30 on November 21, the working group departed, carrying medicine, essential equipment and light luggage to ensure mobility and timeliness.
Before departure, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Thanh, Director of Thong Nhat Hospital, assigned tasks to the working group, praising the sense of responsibility and urgency of the members. The hospital director asked the group to closely coordinate with the local government and health sector to achieve the highest efficiency, while ensuring safety in traveling and performing the tasks. At exactly 6:00 a.m. on November 22, the working group arrived in Khanh Hoa, received the task from the Provincial Department of Health and immediately began to carry out medical examination and treatment.

According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, as of November 22, 38 doctors from Thong Nhat Hospital, Military Hospital 175, People's Hospital 115, Orthopedic Trauma, Rehabilitation and Occupational Diseases Hospital, and An Binh Hospital have directly participated in medical examination and treatment activities at Khanh Hoa Provincial Hospital and the community in Khanh Vinh and Dien Khanh communes. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health will continue to update information, coordinate forces, and ensure that all support activities take place quickly, safely, and effectively.
In addition to mobilizing human resources, many hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City have launched a "family medicine bag" campaign to support people in flood-hit areas. Each medicine bag includes fever reducers for adults and children, diarrhea medicine, oral rehydration solution, antiseptics, bandages, gauze, hand sanitizer, soap, some common medical treatments, and instructions for safe use of medicine.
The program has received strong support from medical staff and benefactors, with the goal of delivering as many medicine bags as possible to the people, helping to prevent diseases during the rainy season and reduce the burden on the local health system. Initially, 10,000 medicine bags will be delivered to the people of Khanh Hoa province.
