
The Border Guard coordinated with local forces to transport more than 1,000 food rations to support people in flood-affected areas (mainly boxed lunches, purified water and some essential goods); cleaned 8 schools, 1 medical center and more than 100 houses, and saved the life of 1 person swept away by floodwaters.
Previously, at 10:00 a.m. on November 21, in Tien Du 1 village, Hoa Thang ward, Nguyen Trung Hieu, born in 1981, residing in Tien Du 2 village, Hoa Thang ward, was swept away by floodwaters. Upon receiving the news, Vinh Luong Border Guard Station, in coordination with local people, promptly arrived at the scene to provide rescue. At 11:15 a.m. on the same day, the victim was taken to the Tien Du 1 village community house for care. Currently, the victim's health is stable.
Currently, the Provincial Border Guard maintains 100% of its troops on duty; mobilizes a total of 20 ships, boats, and canoes; 20 cars of various types; 60 motorbikes and dozens of canoes and motorboats from local tourism businesses to participate in support. The Khanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command has deployed additional working groups to key areas and distributed 220 buoys, 270 life jackets and 140kg of dry food to people in flooded areas.
