At the conference, the representative of the Department of Home Affairs announced Decision 1740/QD-UBND dated June 2, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on transferring state management tasks in the field of network information security.
According to the Decision, the transfer will take effect from June 5, 2025. Lao Cai Provincial Police will be the agency in charge of taking full responsibility for state management of network information security, including operating and using accounts in the information security monitoring system (SOC), as well as closely coordinating with relevant units to ensure that monitoring activities take place continuously and without interruption during the transition period.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Tran Viet Phuong, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, said that the police force has proactively prepared all necessary conditions to receive the task, fully arranged human resources, equipment and infrastructure to receive the system without causing disruption. The Provincial Police Department will closely coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology in training, transferring software and technical processes to ensure effective takeover. In addition, propaganda work will also be stepped up so that people are aware of the risks and how to protect personal information in cyberspace.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the preparation and coordination between the Department of Science and Technology and the Provincial Police during the transfer process. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Sinh emphasized: Cybercrime is becoming increasingly complex. The transfer of network information security management tasks is completely correct and timely. The transfer does not mean the end of coordination, but the operation phase requires companionship to ensure that the system is not interrupted.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments and branches to deploy tasks according to Decision 1740/QD-UBND, ready for the official operation of the province's new administrative apparatus on July 1.
