Announcement of adjustment of detailed planning for Fansipan Sa Pa cable car station area

On the afternoon of November 19, the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Sa Pa Ward coordinated with Fansipan Sa Pa Cable Car Tourism Service Company Limited to organize a Conference to publicly announce the project of Adjusting the Detailed Construction Planning at a scale of 1/500 of the Fansipan Sa Pa Cultural Tourism Complex, Cable Car Service, Entertainment, and Hotel (departure terminal area).

Attending the announcement ceremony were representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Sa Pa ward, specialized departments and offices; representatives of investors, heads of residential groups and organizations and individuals within the scope of influence of the planning.

According to the published project content, the research area for planning adjustment has a total area of ​​41.26 hectares within the administrative boundaries of Sa Pa ward. The North borders Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, the West borders the Animal Rescue and Conservation Center, the remaining sides border agricultural land and Hoang Lien National Park.

The planning space is divided into 2 main functional zones, of which: Zone A (cable car station area) accounts for more than 71% of the area, focusing on developing service works, complex entertainment, high-class hotels and forest landscapes; Zone B is planned as Sa Pa Village commercial housing area (accounting for more than 28%) with townhouses, cultural works and public green spaces. The highlight of the project is the organization of space in a step-by-step manner according to the natural terrain, harmoniously connecting with Nguyen Chi Thanh street to create a bustling tourist gateway in the Northwest of Sa Pa.

The adjustment and announcement of this planning is of special importance, aiming to concretize the Sub-zone Planning No. 3 (along Muong Hoa Valley) and the new orientations of Lao Cai province. The core objective of the project is to build a synchronous and modern tourism - service - housing complex; optimally exploit land potential, diversify tourism products, and provide high-quality entertainment services for tourists and residents. In addition, the planning also aims to solve housing needs, create more jobs for local workers and is a key legal basis for managing construction order, attracting investment resources for socio-economic development in the area.

After listening to the consultant present detailed planning indicators and spatial orientation, the majority of people expressed high consensus with the adjustment plan.

Representatives of the Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Affairs and the investor directly answered a number of questions, and committed to coordinating in the work of setting up boundary markers, clearing land, and implementing the project on schedule, ensuring the harmony of interests between the state, businesses and people, contributing to changing the face of Sa Pa tourist city in the near future.
