PARTICIPANTS AND REGISTRATION METHOD

Participants: Athletes and players who love Pickleball living and working in Vietnam.

Registration form: Register online Information about the tournament will be updated via the official Zalo group

COMPETITION CONTENT AND FORMAT

Content: 8 doubles competitions, each pair consists of 02 Athletes

Men's Open Doubles (expected: 32 pairs).

Women's Open Doubles (expected: 32 pairs).

Men's doubles level 6.5: maximum limit of 3.5 players per player (expected: 32 pairs).

Men's doubles 5.5: maximum limit of 3.0 per player (expected: 32 pairs).

Women's doubles level 5.0: maximum limit of 2.7 players per player (expected: 32 pairs).

Women's doubles level 4.5: limit each player to 2.5 maximum (expected: 32 pairs).

Dan Tri Lead - for leaders (expected: 32 pairs).

Dan Tri & Friends - for reporters, editors, and broadcasters of newspapers and radio stations (expected: 32 pairs).

Note: Athletes participating in the tournament are required to update their profile picture.

Additional regulations on athlete limits:

The submission points apply the Sport Connect submission points system.

The maximum submission score tolerance limit for 01 athlete is 05/athlete (including tolerance due to score update). For example: If the tournament stipulates that the maximum submission score for 1 athlete is 8, then athletes with a submission score of 2.85 or higher will not be allowed to participate.

The maximum total score tolerance limit for a pair of athletes is 01/pair of athletes (including tolerance due to score update).

For example: If the tournament has a 4.3 competition, then the Athletes with a total score of 4.4 or higher will not be allowed to participate.

The following athletes are not allowed to participate in the tournament (not applicable to open content). In case of intentional registration, when discovered, the athlete will be immediately disqualified from the tournament and will not be refunded the fee, specifically as follows:

For Pickleball: Athletes who have participated in the semi-finals of the Super Cup, Open, Professional events of the Asian Championships, National Championships and other similar Open events; pairs of athletes who have won prizes in tournaments with similar or higher levels of competition at the tournament. In case an athlete has won prizes in tournaments with similar or higher levels of competition at the tournament and registers with another athlete, he/she must contact the Organizing Committee for approval.

For tennis, badminton, table tennis: athletes who are grandmasters, professional athletes, athletes who have won national and international awards in the past 15 years, regardless of age or gender.

During the competition, through actual review during the competition, feedback and complaints from athletes, the Organizing Committee has the right to monitor, refer to the current scoring systems or tournaments to re-evaluate and confirm the actual level of the athletes and has the right to forfeit and not refund the entry fee for pairs of athletes who exceed the level.

Before the draw, if the Organizing Committee checks that any athlete or pair of athletes has a score after updating that exceeds the prescribed tolerance compared to the time of registration or the submitted score is not consistent with reality, the Organizing Committee will contact the athlete to re-arrange the match or refund the participation fee.

For athletes under 18 years old, it is required to contact the Organizing Committee before registering and have a guardian accompanying them throughout the competition.

Athletes self-declare their scores according to their current level and commit to being responsible for the accuracy of the declared information. In case there are Black or Red points on the Sport Connect system but it is considered that they do not reflect the correct level, athletes can self-adjust or notify the Organizing Committee for support to update.

The points on the Sport Connect system are calculated according to the ELO rules, based on the athlete's initial declaration and competition history, so there may be some deviations from the actual submitted points and are only for reference (for all point colors). When registering to participate in the tournament, athletes need to check their own points on the system and re-declare honestly according to the current submitted points or contact the Organizing Committee for review. In case of complaints, the Organizing Committee will review and if it is true that it exceeds the requirements of the registration content, the Organizing Committee will consider losing according to the regulations.

- Note: Registration for the Tournament is completely voluntary. Athletes agree to accept the above conditions and agreements. In case the Tournament has taken place and the Organizing Committee discovers that the submitted scores are not as declared, the Organizing Committee has the right to disqualify the athlete from the tournament and not refund the fee.

Competition format:

Apply according to Pickleball rules issued by Vietnam Sports Department.

Competition format: Double elimination.

Round 1: 1 set per match, play until reaching 11 points, no 2-point difference, reaching 6 points, both sides change sides; The winning team in Round 1 continues to Round 3. The losing teams continue to play.

Round 2 (Knockout), the winning teams in Round 2 continue to Round 3; the losing teams are eliminated. Starting from Round 2 onwards: 1 set per match, play until reaching 15 points, no 2-point difference applies, reaching 8 points, both sides change sides.

TIME AND PLACE

Competition time : July 5-6, 2025 Saturday - Sunday from 08:00 to 18:00.

Draw date: July 3, 2025.

Registration deadline: Ends July 1, 2025 or when the number of registered athletes is sufficient.

TOURNAMENT RULES

General provisions:

Athletes are responsible for their own health when participating in the tournament.

Athletes must ensure seriousness and culture in competition, always upholding the spirit of "Fair Play".

Solidarity and friendship; unsportsmanlike and uncultured actions by athletes may result in disqualification.

Each team is allowed to request a time-out once, each time not exceeding 1 minute.

Each team is allowed to request a maximum of 1 stoppage of play for muscle strain or temporary injury, with the referee's approval, for no more than 3 minutes each time.

Athletes must comply with the competition time; when it is their turn to compete, an athlete who is absent for more than 10 minutes will be considered to have voluntarily withdrawn from that match and will be considered to have lost the match according to the rules.

Competition entry fees are non-transferable and non-refundable once paid.

The Organizing Committee is responsible for preparing the field, referees, ball picking, and competition balls for the athletes.

The Organizing Committee has the right to refuse participation in cases of violation of the Tournament Regulations or unconditionally suspend athletes who cause disorder, have unsportsmanlike or uncivilized actions, or disrespect the Organizing Committee and referees.

BTC has the right to adjust the regulations to suit the tournament's reality when necessary.

Competition attire is applied according to the general standards of Pickleball competition attire, ensuring good customs and codes of conduct (athletes are not allowed to go shirtless during competition).

Do not use a jersey that is the same or similar in color to the ball (banana green ball).

Competition equipment using rackets specifically for When entering the competition field, athletes must bring a valid ID card/Driver's license/Passport to serve the inspection of the Referee Team.

In case of complaints, athletes must comply with the following regulations:

Complaints about the rules can only be made while the match is in progress. If the match has ended, the complaint is considered invalid.

Complaints about the presentation before the draw time. For non-professional issues, athletes must notify the Organizing Committee to confirm and suspend the match.

Any rules not stated in these regulations shall be governed by the current Pickleball Rules of the Vietnam Sports Administration.

If the Organizing Committee discovers that an athlete is overqualified during the competition, it has the right to disqualify that athlete and not refund the fee.

In any case of dispute, complaint, or discovery of other unusual content, the decision belongs to the Organizing Committee based on the Tournament Regulations.

Rules at matches:

Catching foot touching or crossing the line when serving, catching foot stepping on the kitchen when hitting the ball in the air, catching ball stealing, not being allowed to change players during the game, not changing supports.

When the serve hits the net and the ball falls into a legal box, play continues.

PRIZE STRUCTURE AND ENTRY FEES

1. Tournament entry fee:

Participation fee: 500,000 VND / Athlete / Content Athletes can register for a maximum of 2 contents, ensuring the regulations on athlete limits of the Organizing Committee.

2. Athletes' rights:

Play at least 2 matches/pair except in some cases where a random draw results in a match being skipped due to an odd pair. Standard balls are provided in all matches.

Level and Interpretation

1.0 : Beginner. Never held a racket or played other sports for a short time.

1.5: This player has little experience and is still mainly focused on getting the ball into the field.

Shots: Serve, Return of serve, Forehand.

Experienced players with bad shots and basic strokes on singles and doubles courts.

2.0: Strokes: Serve, Return, Forehand, Backhand.

Player has stable stroke, weak footwork, slow short net ball.

3.0: The player has a fairly consistent stroke at a medium tempo, combining multiple shots in the same rally uncomfortably and lacking in direction, depth or power. The most common doubles formation is one up, one down.

Shots: Serve, Return, Forehand, Backhand, Forehand + Backhand Dink, Forehand + Backhand Volley, Forehand Drop, Unstable Backhand Drop, Forehand Slice, Unstable Backhand Slice.

The player is confident, has moderate directional control on shots, but still lacks depth and variety. This player demonstrates more aggressive net play, improves court range, and is developing teamwork in doubles.

3.5: Shots: Serve, Return, Forehand, Backhand, Forehand + Backhand Dink, Forehand + Backhand Volley, Forehand + Backhand Drop, Forehand + Backhand Slice, Forehand Lob, Unstable Backhand Lob, Kitchen Smash, Unstable Back Smash.

4.0: The player confidently controls direction and depth on both the forehand and backhand on moderate shots, plus the ability to use lobs, smashes, approaches and volleys with some success.

This player sometimes makes mistakes when serving due to difficult serves to the opponent, Serves can be lost due to impatience. Coordination in doubles is evident.

ATHLETE RESPONSIBILITY

Athletes participating in the tournament are responsible for preparing their physical strength to participate in the tournament.

In case of health problems but still intentionally participate, the Organizing Committee will not be responsible.

ORGANIZATION AND OTHER REGULATIONS

The Organizing Committee is responsible for preparing the field, balls, drinks, snacks, referees, and medical staff for each match.

The Organizing Committee has the right to stop the match, cancel the results, and disqualify athletes who violate the rules.

Tournament rules or unsportsmanlike behavior, disrespect, or lack of cooperation with referees, the Organizing Committee has the right to use the images of all athletes participating in the Tournament for the purpose of promoting the Tournament, as well as other communication activities.

The Organizing Committee has the right to add a reserve pair of athletes to the bracket (group) if a pair of athletes withdraws according to the required level of the content.

Only the Organizing Committee has the right to change or supplement the regulations. In any case of dispute, the decision of the Organizing Committee will be final.

In case the weather does not ensure competition conditions, the Organizing Committee will adjust the competition schedule and notify the participating athletes.
