Emergency situation declared on National Highway 1, Truong Son Dong road through 4 provinces of South Central Coast

The Ministry of Construction has just announced a natural disaster emergency to repair damage to traffic infrastructure on National Highway 1, Truong Son Dong road through Da Nang city, Quang Ngai province, Gia Lai province, Dak Lak province and Khanh Hoa province under the management of Road Management Area III due to the impact of heavy rain and floods from November 17 to 22, 2025.

Natural disasters causing damage to traffic infrastructure at the following locations: Km112+720; Km175C+950; section Km404+800 - Km405+000; Km449+000; Km462+250 on Truong Son Dong road and Km1339+300 (right); Km1360+860 (right); Km1371+1000 (right) on National Highway 1 through Da Nang city, Quang Ngai province, Gia Lai province, Dak Lak province and Khanh Hoa province pose a direct threat to the safety of people and vehicles participating in road traffic.

The time of the natural disaster for the Vietnam Road Administration to review and specifically determine the damage to the traffic infrastructure of the national highway system under its management and issue an Order to build emergency works to overcome the consequences of the natural disaster is determined to be from November 17 to 22.

Agencies and units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, shall carry out activities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters as prescribed in Chapter IV of Circular No. 40/2024/TT-BGTVT dated November 15, 2024 of the Minister of Transport (now the Minister of Construction ) regulating the work of preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in the road sector.

On the part of the Vietnam Road Administration, Road Management Area III, according to its scope and management responsibilities, implements activities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters; including reviewing and determining the specific level of damage to road works caused by natural disasters, repair and remedial solutions, and issuing an Order to build emergency works to overcome the consequences of natural disasters according to the provisions of law.

Upon completion of emergency construction and disaster recovery work according to the above-mentioned natural disaster emergency situation, the Vietnam Road Administration shall report to the Ministry of Construction as a basis for considering the announcement of the end of the natural disaster emergency situation.

The Director of the Vietnam Road Administration and the Director of Road Management Area III are responsible to the Minister of Construction and the law for the reported damage and deterioration of traffic infrastructure at the following locations: Km112+720; Km175C+950; section Km404+800 - Km405+000; Km449+100; Km462+250 on Truong Son Dong road and Km1339+300 (right); Km1360+860 (right); Km1371+1000 (right) on National Highway 1 through Da Nang city, Quang Ngai province, Gia Lai province, Dak Lak province and Khanh Hoa province due to the impact of heavy rain and floods from November 17 to 22.

The Department of Transport and Traffic Safety (Ministry of Construction) is responsible for urging and directing agencies and units in implementing measures to overcome the consequences of natural disasters on road traffic infrastructure.
