Trade Union shares difficulties with workers in Hanoi Textile and Garment Industry

Sharing with the leaders of the Hanoi Labor Federation, workers Nguyen The Toan and Tran Hong Quan said that they had previously had an unfortunate work accident while working. In particular, Toan was determined by the medical agency to have suffered a 73% physical injury, and Quan was determined to have a 65% reduction in his ability to work. After the work accident, Toan and Quan were assigned to light, suitable jobs by the company.

The family circumstances of Toan and Quan are still difficult, but with the constant care, encouragement and support from the Union and the company, their family life is stable and their children are well-behaved and good at studying. When the weather changes, their health is affected, however, they all try to overcome it and continue to work and produce, sticking with the business.

After understanding the situation of the workers, Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Federation Pham Quang Thanh emphasized that work-related accidents are something no one wants, and at the same time, shared the difficulties that their families are facing and acknowledged and appreciated their sense of responsibility towards their work.

Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Confederation Pham Quang Thanh said that on the occasion of Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene in 2025, the Capital's Labor Unions at all levels have implemented many practical and meaningful activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers, including visiting and giving gifts to union members and workers who have suffered work-related accidents.

At the families, the leaders of the Hanoi City Labor Federation directly presented gifts to workers who had work-related accidents (each gift included 3 million VND in cash and in kind); at the same time, encouraged workers to continue to strive to overcome difficulties, improve their lives, work with peace of mind, and contribute to the overall development of the enterprise.

In addition, the Hanoi Textile and Garment Trade Union and the company also have practical gifts for union members and workers.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Hanoi City Labor Federation requested that all levels of the Hanoi Textile and Garment Trade Union continue to pay attention, encourage and promptly support union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who have suffered work-related accidents and occupational diseases, etc. Thereby, affirming the role of the Trade Union organization and contributing to ensuring social security in the city. For businesses, the leaders of the Hanoi City Labor Federation hope that companies will continue to pay attention to ensuring occupational safety and hygiene so that workers can work in a safe environment.

Receiving the affection, care and concern of the Trade Union, worker Nguyen The Toan and worker Tran Hong Quan both expressed their joy and emotion and said that the support of the Trade Union is not only valuable in terms of material but also has great spiritual significance, helping them have more motivation to rise up in life and contribute to work.
