Amidst the abundance of carefully researched historical documents presented in the book, the authors highlight the spirit: the main reason for the success of the August Revolution was that our Party placed the task of fighting for independence first, taking national interests as the highest, "understanding" the most sacred and urgent aspirations of the entire nation. Thanks to that, the call for national salvation and the Party's policies of gathering, uniting, and organizing the masses to fight were quickly responded to and implemented by the people. The August Revolution in the book is filled with the spirit of solidarity, unanimity, and strong unity of will between "the Party's will and the people's heart" uniting into a solid block, determined to rise up and overthrow the domination of imperialism and feudalism.
The authors also affirmed that the August Revolution of 1945 established and elevated the international position of the Vietnamese people, pioneering in the world in the struggle to abolish slavery, building a lasting independence closely linked to freedom, democracy and happiness of the people, with equality and social progress. The victory had profound significance and was a brilliant milestone in the history of the movement to fight against colonialism and colonial liberation in the world. Together with the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, our people chose the revolutionary path for peace , independence, freedom, democracy, prosperity and towards socialism.
