Cua Ong Coal Selection Company celebrates its 65th anniversary

On the morning of August 16, Cua Ong Coal Selection Company held a meeting to celebrate the 65th anniversary of its establishment on August 20 (1960-2025). Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Huy Nam, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group.

After 65 years since its first name as Cua Ong Wharf Enterprise to Cua Ong Coal Selection Company - TKV, the company has now become the main coal selection unit of the Group. During 65 years of construction and development, Cua Ong Coal Selection Company has transported over 300 million tons of raw coal, imported over 5 million tons of coal, screened and processed over 296 million tons of clean coal to supply the industry, making an important contribution to the economic development of the country.

In the past 5 years alone, the Company has applied mechanization, automation, computerization, and digital transformation to production lines, with more than 3,000 topics, initiatives, and technical improvements applied in practice with a value of over 35 billion VND. Currently, the average income is over 15 million VND/person/month, production and business are stable, contributing positively to the development of the Group and the locality.

Cua Ong Coal Selection Company received a certificate of merit from TKV and a banner from the Vietnam Coal and Minerals Trade Union.

Not only is the Company a large-scale production unit, it is also the first unit in the Quang Ninh Mining Region to have an individual awarded the title of "Labor Hero", while the collective has been honored twice as "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" and was awarded the title of "Labor Hero in the Renovation Period" in 2000.

Entering a new phase, Cua Ong Coal Selection Company continues to promote mechanization, automation, digital transformation, improve production efficiency, focus on environmental protection and care for workers' lives.

TKV leaders commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Company's founding.

On this occasion, Cua Ong Coal Selection Company was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group for its outstanding achievements in the construction and development of TKV; the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Union presented the Company's Union with a banner: "Solidarity - Innovation - Creativity - Efficiency". Many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the unit's establishment were also commended and rewarded.
