Special "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony in Hanoi

On the morning of August 16, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union coordinated to organize the "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony.

This is one of the special events of Vietnamese youth and members to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam said: This year, the Journey "I love my Fatherland" spreads across the country with activities that are both solemn and exciting. Each activity, each story, each moment of the journey adds a color to the brilliant picture of patriotism and the desire to contribute of Vietnamese youth.

The Hanoi bridge is one of 7 central-level points, along with 34 provincial-level points and 3,334 communal-level points, which are simultaneously glowing with flags, echoing with songs and sharing the same slogan. “Today, it is not just a ceremony, but a patriotic chorus, resounding simultaneously in all regions of the country. It is the affirmation: “We are Vietnamese - and that is an incomparable pride”, the President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union emphasized.

Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam called on each member and youth to turn today's emotions into concrete and persistent actions, so that the national flag and the spirit of "I love my Fatherland" are present in every action, from creative products spreading patriotic messages on social networks, to days of tireless volunteering, studying, working, starting a business...

At the flag-raising ceremony, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union presented 800 national flags and photos of Uncle Ho to the Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi; visited and presented gifts to 5 families of veteran revolutionaries and policy beneficiaries in the area...

Along with the Central level activities, on August 16, the Association's chapters at all levels across the country also simultaneously organized the "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony in 34 provinces and cities, 3,334 locations in communes, wards, and special zones, and implemented many meaningful activities and tasks such as: Launching the "I love my Fatherland" journey; launching the hanging of the national flag; presenting the national flag and Uncle Ho's photo; giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances, families with meritorious services, and students in difficult circumstances...

Specifically, the Association's chapters at all levels presented nearly 16,000 national flags and 3,000 photos of Uncle Ho; implemented nearly 2,000 youth projects and tasks; organized about 2,000 activities to visit historical sites and red addresses; and presented nearly 2,500 gifts with a total cost of nearly 1.7 billion VND.

The Central-level “I love my Fatherland” flag-raising ceremony on August 16 took place at 7 locations: Van Xuan Flower Garden (Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi); Hang Duong Cemetery (Con Dao Special Zone) and Thu Ngu Flagpole (Sai Gon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City); Three-border landmark, Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia Friendship Cultural House (Bo Y Commune, Quang Ngai Province); Mui Doi - Hon Dau (Dai Lanh Commune, Khanh Hoa Province); Lung Cu Flagpole (Tuyen Quang Province); Mui Ca Mau Flagpole (Ca Mau Province).
