Copeland launches heat pump for domestic water

DNVN - Copeland has just launched the Sensi Hydro heat pump for domestic water in Southeast Asia. This is an integrated heating solution designed to bring high energy efficiency to the hot water supply in hotels, commercial buildings and public facilities.

The product launch underscores Copeland’s commitment to accelerating the energy transition to electrochemical heating technology, contributing to global emissions reduction and decarbonization goals.

The Southeast Asia region is reflecting this global trend, as increasing energy efficiency regulations coupled with increased investment in commercial infrastructure drive demand for sustainable domestic water heating solutions.

“The launch of Copeland’s Sensi Hydro heat pump for domestic water is in line with regional priorities,” said Michael Toh, Copeland’s Asia Pacific regional president.

According to estimates by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the use of heat pumps could help reduce 500 million tons of CO2 per year by 2030. The commercial heat pump water heater market is forecast to reach USD 608.5 million, with an estimated compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.4% during 2023–2032, as commercial building owners adopt the technology to achieve sustainability goals.

Specially designed for the environmental conditions and usage needs in Southeast Asia, Sensi Hydro heat pumps for domestic water provide a stable hot water supply in a wide range of conditions, with capacity versions from 6HP to 20HP.

Stable performance under various conditions: Equipped with a Copeland ZW scroll compressor, the device provides a stable hot water supply up to 60°C. Independent refrigerant circuits and a redundancy mode ensure a continuous hot water supply even under severe operating conditions.

Compact, user-friendly design: The compact design makes it easy to install and integrate into existing systems without much disruption. Features such as a diagnostic LED control panel make operation and maintenance simple, making it suitable for many commercial environments such as hotels, motels and restaurants.
