Through following the discussion session, voters of Phu Tho province believe in the results the country has achieved in the past 5 years; at the same time, expect that the socio -economic situation will have breakthroughs in the coming time.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Pa Co Commune, Sung A Chênh, said that he completely agreed with and highly agreed with the content of the draft report on the socio-economic situation in 2025 and the 5 years of 2021 - 2025. The report assessed the results achieved (with 8 outstanding results); at the same time, it assessed and clearly stated issues of concern to voters such as: limitations, difficulties, inadequacies, challenges and causes, lessons learned.

Mr. Sung A Chênh has high expectations for the 2026 socio-economic development plan because it has set out a general target and 15 main targets. In particular, GDP growth strives to reach 10% or more; GDP per capita reaches 5,400 - 5,500 USD; average CPI increases by about 4.5%; average social labor productivity increases by about 8%; the poverty rate according to the multidimensional poverty standard decreases by about 1 - 1.5%. To ensure socio-economic development, the report also sets out 10 tasks and solutions for implementation.

Regarding the results of implementing the National Assembly's resolutions, the 5-year plan for the period 2021 - 2025 on socio-economic development; restructuring the economy, according to Mr. Sung A Chênh, the content has closely followed the actual economic situation of Vietnam in sustainable and stable development. The Government's economic restructuring solutions aim to create a breakthrough, scientifically , in line with the current socio-economic development trend.

Mr. Sung A Chênh agreed and highly agreed with the contents of the report of the Government, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, and Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy on the issuance of documents adjusting the contents under the authority of the National Assembly to handle issues arising when implementing the reorganization of the state apparatus, promoting decentralization and delegation of powers and removing obstacles due to legal provisions (according to the provisions of the Law on Organization of the Government, the Law on Organization of Local Government, Resolution No. 190/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly regulating the handling of a number of issues related to the reorganization of the state apparatus, Resolution No. 206/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly on special mechanisms for handling difficulties and obstacles due to legal provisions). He hopes that the Government will continue to pay more attention to vocational training policies, develop commodity-oriented agriculture, improve the quality of OCOP products, develop community tourism associated with national cultural identity to create sustainable livelihoods and increase income to help Mong ethnic people in the highlands have more sustainable livelihoods.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Khiem, former Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, in 2025, in the context of many fluctuations in the world economy, the Government has managed decisively, maintained macroeconomic stability, ensured major balances and social security. However, entering 2026, the Government needs to focus more on improving growth quality, promoting administrative reform, digital transformation, developing green economy and knowledge economy, considering this as a new driving force for sustainable development. Mr. Nguyen Ba Khiem suggested that the Government continue to adhere to the goal of macroeconomic stability, but need to be more flexible in fiscal and monetary policies to support the recovery of production, consumption and private investment.

From the experience of Phu Tho - a midland and mountainous province with a strategic position connecting the Northwest region with the Northern Delta, Mr. Nguyen Ba Khiem recommended that the Government prioritize investment in inter-regional transport infrastructure, logistics systems and industrial parks and industrial clusters; thereby creating a driving force to attract investment and expand economic development space for midland and mountainous localities. The Government needs to have a specific support mechanism for landslide prevention and control, relocating residents in high-risk areas along the Lo and Thao rivers; strengthening social security policies and developing the rural economy in association with building sustainable new rural areas.

As someone who has been involved in the cultural field for many years, Mr. Nguyen Ba Khiem emphasized that cultural development must be placed on par with economic development; he suggested that the Government continue to pay attention to investing, preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of the Hung Kings' Land, considering this an important endogenous resource for sustainable tourism development and spreading Vietnamese cultural identity.

Regarding the discussion on the situation of violence against medical staff - a hot issue in public opinion recently at the National Assembly session, according to Mr. Nguyen Ba Khiem, the fact that doctors and nurses were attacked while on duty to save people is not only a violation of the law, but also a degradation of ethics and behavioral culture. He said that this should be considered an urgent issue, which must be strictly handled to protect a safe working environment and respect the "white-shirt soldiers". He also agreed with the proposal of many National Assembly deputies to study a specific legal protection mechanism for medical staff, even consider recognizing martyrs in cases of sacrifice while on duty; thereby showing gratitude and worthy honor for those who have dedicated themselves to the health of the people.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Khiem affirmed that Phu Tho voters trust the leadership of the Party, the administration of the Government and the supervision of the National Assembly; at the same time, he expects that the goals and tasks for 2026 will be concretized by practical and effective policies, contributing to the country's faster, more sustainable and inclusive development, so that midland and mountainous localities like Phu Tho have the opportunity to rise strongly in the new period.
