Naval Region 3 visits and encourages people affected by natural disasters

Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Naval Region 3, personally went to Ha Nha commune, Da Nang city to direct and encourage forces on duty to help people overcome difficulties.

Faced with the situation of prolonged heavy rains causing widespread flooding in the Central provinces, in recent days, the Naval Region 3 Command has mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers along with many vehicles, high-speed boats, canoes and specialized vehicles to promptly move to heavily affected areas to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Forces of Naval Region 3 coordinated with local authorities to evacuate people from dangerous areas, transporting necessities, drinking water, food, medicine and life jackets to isolated households.

Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien said: Ha Nha Commune, Da Nang City is one of the localities that was deeply flooded and suffered heavy damage. Faced with the severity of the natural disaster, the Naval Region 3 Command has mobilized maximum human resources and means to help people in the flooded areas; sharing the difficulties and losses that people in the area are facing. The Political Commissar of the Region requested Party committees, commanders and forces directly performing tasks to actively stay close to the area, closely coordinate with Party committees, authorities and local forces, flexibly handle situations, promptly support and help people overcome difficulties, and soon stabilize their lives.

Previously, the Party Committee, the Regional Command, and Party committees and commanders at all levels launched and called on organizations and individuals in the unit to donate and support items such as clothes, drinking water, food, etc. to promptly deliver to the people.

Up to now, the Naval Region 3 Command has mobilized more than 200 officers and soldiers along with 7 boats, 12 cars of various types, carrying more than 1 ton of dry food, 1.5 tons of rice, 200 boxes of instant noodles, 150 boxes of mineral water, 50 boxes of milk, clothes and more than 32 million VND in cash to support people in flooded areas in Da Nang City.
