Urgently ensure safety of power projects on the slope of National Highway 40B

DNO - Faced with the risk of the electric pole on the slope of National Highway 40B collapsing, the Department of Construction of Da Nang City has sent a document to Cuu Long Power Consulting and Development Joint Stock Company requesting to ensure traffic safety and safety of electrical works.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, said that due to the impact of heavy rain from October 25 to 29, the slope at km79+530 of National Highway 40B (in Tra Tan commune) suffered serious landslides.

On top of the positive slope at the landslide location, there is a 110kV power pole, part of the 110kV line used to connect the Nam Tra My hydropower cluster to the national power system.

The above mentioned power system is managed and operated by Cuu Long Power Development and Consulting Joint Stock Company. According to forecasts, there will continue to be heavy rain in the coming days, and the positive slope at this location is predicted to continue to erode, and the power pole is at risk of falling.

To ensure traffic safety and power project safety at km79+530 of National Highway 40B, the Department of Construction requested Cuu Long Power Consulting and Development Joint Stock Company to inspect and promptly take measures to ensure safety for the power pole.
