| The North-South railway through Hue City has been reopened. |
However, the speed limit is only 5km/h to ensure absolute safety for other trains passing through the area. Previously, many railway sections passing through Hue City had their rocks washed away by floodwaters, leaving the rails exposed and the roadbed unstable.
Hundreds of railway workers were mobilized to work overtime overnight, urgently reinforcing, adding materials, checking the stability of the railbed, in order to promptly reopen the line as soon as possible. During the time the line was cut off, the railway industry organized the safe transportation of passengers through the flooded area.
To protect the project, Binh Tri Thien Railway Joint Stock Company also dispatched two trains carrying a total of 1,150 tons of rock from Dong Hoi ( Quang Tri ) and Huong Thuy (Hue) to block the two bridges, increasing the load to prevent the risk of being swept away by floods.
Currently, at Phu Bai International Airport, flights are still operating normally but have been reduced due to many passengers being affected by floods.
