Support Da Nang City Post Office with 150 million VND to overcome damage caused by floods

DNO - In the face of heavy damage caused by the recent historic floods, on October 30, Mr. Nguyen Hai Thanh, Member of the Board of Members of Vietnam Post Corporation, visited and encouraged officers, employees and workers of Da Nang City Post Office.

Mr. Tran Viet Hung, Director of Da Nang City Post Office, said that during the recent flood, 39 communes and wards in the city were deeply flooded, many traffic routes were cut off, affecting the exploitation, transportation and delivery of postal items. However, thanks to the good implementation of the "4 on-site" motto, 98.2% of postmen still made efforts to stay in the area, maintaining delivery in safe areas.

On behalf of the Corporation's leadership, Mr. Nguyen Hai Thanh highly appreciated the proactive and responsible spirit of Da Nang City Post Office in flood prevention and overcoming.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Thanh presented 150 million VND from Vietnam Post Corporation to support the City Post Office to overcome damage, stabilize production and soon bring postal activities back to normal.

According to Director of the City Post Office Tran Viet Hung, in the face of the complicated flood situation, the Da Nang City Post Office quickly supported specialized vehicles of the industry, transporting relief goods to deeply flooded areas in Hoi An and some other localities.
