Emulation cluster of Labor Federations of provinces in the Central Highlands region summarizes activities in the first 6 months of 2025

On the morning of May 15, in Buon Ma Thuot City, Emulation Cluster No. 8 of the Labor Federations (LF) of the Central Highlands provinces held a conference to review activities in the first 6 months of 2025.

Attending the conference were Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh; leaders of the Confederations of Labor of 5 provinces: Dak Lak , Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Lam Dong.

In the first 6 months of 2025, trade unions at all levels in the Cluster closely followed the leadership of local Party committees and the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, proactively organizing the implementation of regular tasks associated with key tasks.

The work of inspection, supervision and care for the lives and protection of the legitimate and legal interests of union members and workers is focused on closely following the grassroots level; activities of visiting and supporting people in difficult circumstances, serious illnesses, accidents and risks in life during holidays and Tet are well organized.

Specifically, the trade unions at all levels in the Cluster visited and presented gifts to 220,867 cases of difficult circumstances and serious illnesses with a total amount of nearly 107 billion VND; supported the construction and repair of new Trade Union Shelters for 145 difficult cases with a total cost of nearly 7 billion VND; signed 50 new collective labor agreements, bringing the total number of signed agreements to 1,242 copies.

The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions has been focused on and regularly implemented. As of April 30, the entire cluster had developed 4,334 new union members; 41 new grassroots trade unions were established, including 2 labor unions; and 30 grassroots trade unions of enterprises with 25 or more employees.

Currently, the total number of employees of the Cluster is 275,054 people with 260,550 union members and 6,502 trade union branches.

Propaganda and education work has been focused on promoting, especially propaganda about the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress at all levels for the 2023 - 2028 term. Implementing the policy of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on reorganizing and streamlining the organization and apparatus, the Provincial Federations of Labor have developed a Project to reorganize the Provincial Federation of Labor.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Cluster exceeded 10 targets, 1 assigned target reached 100%, 6 targets reached over 50% and 1 target reached under 50%.

At the conference, units in the Cluster shared good and effective practices in trade union activities; solutions on concentrating resources to take care of the welfare of union members and workers in the new situation...

Speaking at the conference, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh highly appreciated the achievements of the units in the Cluster; at the same time, emphasized a number of contents that need to be focused on in the coming time, such as: Well implementing the theme of trade union activities in 2025: "Focus on developing union members; building a clean and strong Party"; striving to fulfill the highest goals, tasks and assigned targets; well performing the function of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; effectively implementing emulation movements, ensuring that they are suitable to the actual situation and conditions of agencies, units, enterprises and types of trade union organizations; promoting the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, focusing on increasing the ratio of union members to the total number of workers and laborers in places where unions have been established, developing union members in the informal sector, etc.

On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Emulation Flag to the Dak Nong Provincial Federation of Labor; Certificate of Merit to the Dak Lak Provincial Federation of Labor for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in 2024.
