Recorded by Dan Tri reporter at Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace - also known as "Dolphin Palace" - located on the shore of Ha Long Bay after storm No. 3 passed.
“Dolphin Palace” consists of two blocks: a pearl oyster block and a giant dolphin block. After Typhoon Yagi swept through, the roof on the top of the pearl oyster block was almost blown away by the wind.
The roof is made of large, sturdy aluminum panels but cannot withstand the strong winds of level 14, gusting to level 17 from storm number 3.
The roof reveals a thick layer of yellow foam, leaving the frame exposed to screws to fix the aluminum roof.
Thousands of foam panels lining the roof of the building were blown away by the wind.
The large glass panels in the lobby were shattered by the wind.

After the storm, workers urgently cleaned up and fixed the problem.

Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace is only open for events, so not everyone is allowed to go inside to explore .

A giant aluminum sheet hundreds of square meters wide was blown away by the storm and caught on a public lighting pole below the square.

Fortunately, at the time of the storm, there were no people in this area so there were no casualties.

The dolphin-shaped structure was almost undamaged by the storm. Inspired by Ha Long Bay, the “Dolphin Palace” project resembles a dolphin playing with the waves.

"Dolphin Palace" is considered one of the beautiful, new, creative, unique works and is the highlight of the overall urban architecture picture of Ha Long City.
