The book of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a compass and orientation for the entire People's Public Security force.

On the afternoon of November 11, in Hanoi, the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the National Political Publishing House Truth to organize a ceremony to introduce the book "Building a truly clean and strong People's Public Security force, selflessly serving the country and the people" by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang emphasized that during his lifetime, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, always paid special attention to and made great contributions to the cause of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, and building the People's Public Security force.

Faced with the difficulties and challenges in the work of protecting security and order, he always paid attention to directing the development and promulgation of many resolutions and directives, perfecting the law to firmly consolidate the political and legal basis for the police force to excellently complete its tasks. In particular, for the first time, the Politburo issued and organized a National Conference to disseminate and implement the Resolution on promoting the building of a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, modern people's police force to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

In order for the People's Public Security force to successfully complete all political tasks and be worthy of being a reliable support for the Party, State and people, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong pays special attention to directing the work of building a People's Public Security force that is truly clean and strong, closely attached to the people, and closely coordinated and cooperated with the People's Army.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has repeatedly advised: "Always remember, engrave in your mind and carry out the truth: 'Forget yourself for the country, serve the people'; 'as long as the Party exists, you exist'; 'Honor is the most sacred and noble thing'; always keep in mind the teachings of beloved Uncle Ho: 'Our police are the People's Police, serving the people and relying on the people to work...'; The Army and the Police must be two core forces, truly the 'sword' and 'shield', the two wings of a bird, protecting and preserving peace, stability and development of the country, therefore, must constantly strengthen the relationship of solidarity and close attachment".

The articles, speeches, instructions and exchanges deeply demonstrate the intelligence, enthusiasm, vision, responsibility as well as the special concern, deep affection and trust of the leader of our Party towards the People's Public Security force, which are collected quite fully and comprehensively in the book launched today.

Minister Luong Tam Quang stated that the book is not only a valuable source of information, but also a compass and orientation for the entire People's Public Security force in working, fighting and building the force in the following years, for Party committees, authorities and localities at all levels in leading and managing the work of protecting security and order; motivating, encouraging, arousing patriotism, guiding the masses to actively participate in the cause of protecting the Fatherland in general, and the cause of protecting security and order in particular.

Reporting on the process of compiling and publishing the book, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, Truth, said that, implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam and the tasks assigned by the Standing Committee of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, the National Political Publishing House, Truth, and the Ministry of Public Security have completed the editing and publishing of this book.
