As the lives of people in the Central region are facing many difficulties, the need for relief supplies and resources for post-disaster reconstruction is becoming more urgent. This is also the time for social organizations, universities and city residents to join hands to support the Central region struggling with floods.

At the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House (Ho Chi Minh City National University Urban Area, Dong Hoa Ward), although the call for donations only started on November 23, it has recorded more than 7,000 students registering for support in shifts, of which nearly 4,000 students have participated and this number is still increasing.
Speaking to Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, Ms. Bui Huynh Kieu My, Deputy Director of the Student Cultural House, said that most students learned about the information through social networks and then volunteered to come and support. Not only did they register through the link, many also took advantage of their time after school to come and participate.
The Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House organizes 3 working shifts every day: 6am - 12pm; 12pm - 6pm; 6pm - 11pm. "On peak days, the working shift starts at 6am and ends when the last bus rolls out, usually around 2:30am," Ms. My added. The entire space of the Student Cultural House is always bustling with the sound of people carrying goods, sorting, packing boxes, etc. day and night.

Not only students at the National University of Ho Chi Minh City, many children and pupils also took advantage of Sunday off from school to go to the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House (Xuan Hoa Ward) to help transport goods onto trucks. The image of children wearing gloves, slowly lifting each box of noodles or each bottle of water... moved many people.
Also on the morning of November 24, during the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week, the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) also strongly launched a fundraising movement throughout the school. Officials, employees and students were called upon to contribute spiritually and materially to give more motivation to the people of the Central region to overcome difficulties.
On the same day, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education launched the campaign "Sympathetic Pedagogy - Towards Khanh Hoa", aiming to mobilize resources to support the people of Khanh Hoa province to overcome the damage caused by storms and floods. The items received include: necessities, medical supplies, school supplies, clothes, flashlights... Receiving time is from 2:00 p.m. today to 5:00 p.m. on November 30; the first bus is expected to depart tomorrow evening (November 25).

Join hands to provide emergency aid to the Central region
Faced with the serious impact of storms and floods, the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee has deployed 18 emergency goods receiving points to promptly support people in flooded areas. After a short time of calling, the receiving points have recorded thousands of people coming to register and support. The atmosphere at the goods collection points is always bustling, urgent, and crowded with volunteers.
According to the update until noon on November 24, at 18 receiving points, nearly 4,000 students from schools in Ho Chi Minh City have participated in supporting the classification and packaging of goods for urgent delivery to the Central region. "In the past two days, thousands of students have worked through the night... each time the goods are gathered, they are immediately arranged on the vehicle and sent immediately," shared a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee.

Ms. Bui Huynh Kieu My said that at the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House, in addition to students from schools in the Ho Chi Minh City National University Urban Area, there were also local people bringing their children, students from neighboring areas, staff of the Ho Chi Minh City National University dormitory, staff and lecturers from other schools also participating. "Everyone joined forces, working at full capacity to complete the work of the day, quickly bringing necessary goods to the people," Ms. My shared.

According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee, from November 21 to now, the whole city has shipped 80 containers of goods, each container has a load capacity of 15 - 45 tons. This is a number that shows the rapid mobilization, demonstrating the strong spirit of sharing of the people of Ho Chi Minh City towards the Central region.

As of 10am this morning, November 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee announced a temporary suspension of receiving clothes and stopped collecting goods to send to the provinces. All forms of contributions and sharing for people in flood-affected areas will continue to be accepted through donation accounts or directly at the headquarters.
In addition to urgent relief goods, the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front said that people in the Central region are in dire need of resources to repair houses, restore schools, build bridges and roads, and stabilize their livelihoods and lives after the flood.
Although direct reception has been temporarily suspended, the amount of goods gathered at 18 locations is still very large. The sorting and transportation work continues to take place urgently to promptly bring goods to the areas affected by the historic natural disaster.
