In order to create a comfortable mindset for workers when applying for jobs, in February 2025, the City Employment Service Center restarted the "Job Cafe" model, periodically held every Saturday at the headquarters of the Can Tho City Employment Service Center. In April 2025, this model continued to be expanded and deployed at Anh Nguyen Coffee Shop (Phuoc Thoi Ward, O Mon District) to bring information about employment closer to people, creating opportunities for workers to find suitable jobs. Participating in the weekly Employment Service Session at the "Job Cafe" model, workers can meet directly with employers; receive advice, be equipped with necessary skills when applying for jobs and receive free drinking water in a friendly and flexible exchange space. In addition, workers can access job information by participating online via Zoom software. By the end of April 2025, Can Tho City Employment Service Center had successfully organized 12 weekly employment sessions at the “Job Cafe” model, with 12 enterprises participating in direct consultation and pre-selection. The Center provided direct and online job consultation to 550 workers.

In order to solve the employment needs as well as the problem of finding employees for enterprises, from the beginning of 2025 up to now, Can Tho City Employment Service Center has organized 9 job counseling points for soldiers who have completed their military service and police service in 2025 in 9 districts. In addition, the Center has continuously organized 6 days of meeting employers; organized Job Fairs at the Center and at FPT Polytechnic College, Can Tho campus; organized online job counseling sessions in the Mekong Delta, Southeast region and neighboring provinces and cities in the first quarter of 2025... In general, the frequency, professionalism and quality of job counseling and introduction of job counseling sessions organized by Can Tho City Employment Service Center have been constantly improved, bringing job counseling information to each specific subject.

In addition, the Can Tho City Employment Service Center also closely coordinates with relevant units to organize the collection, analysis and forecast of labor market; regularly update the database of "job search - job seekers" on the Can Tho Job Portal at vieclamcantho.vn. Promote labor market information through online platforms, social networking channels through the unit's online information channels, such as the Can Tho Job Portal, Facebook, Zalo and Call-center. According to statistics from the Can Tho City Employment Service Center, from the beginning of 2025 to the end of April 2025, the Center has provided job counseling, employment policies and vocational training for 25,918 people; introduced domestic jobs for 6,800 people; introduced overseas jobs for 126 people; supplied domestic labor for 732 people; Providing overseas labor for 457 people; job seeker information has 4,570 information and job vacancy information has 7,479 vacancies.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, Director of the Can Tho City Employment Service Center, in the coming time, it is forecasted that the labor market will have an upward trend in terms of recruitment needs of enterprises; mainly focusing on recruiting for unskilled and skilled labor positions. In particular, the labor market in Can Tho City is expected to be positive with many job opportunities in the fields of processing, manufacturing and construction. The service industry is also expected to grow strongly, especially in areas such as tourism , trade and support services. Along with that, Can Tho City also focuses on developing high-quality human resources; focusing on attracting investment, especially in industrial parks and infrastructure projects, which creates many new jobs and improves labor productivity. In order to make the job placement work more systematic and fundamental, Can Tho City Employment Service Center continues to maintain and strengthen the coordination of the 3-party linkage model between the School - Center - Enterprise and coordinate the organization of many job placement activities, such as the Job Placement Session in the Mekong Delta, Southeast region and neighboring provinces and cities; Job Fair; Weekly Job Placement Session at Job Cafes, Job Consulting Points in districts, towns... Organize job search skills consultation sessions, interview skills to orient and support employees in general, employees receiving unemployment benefits in particular in job placement work domestically and abroad in prestigious markets such as Japan, Korea...
