- On November 30, the Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the Ban Mai Xanh Club of Ho Chi Minh City, the Textile and Garment Association of Ho Chi Minh City, the Youth Union of the Traffic Police Department, the Youth Union of the Logistics Department, the Provincial Police, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam, Lang Son Branch and the People's Committees of Binh Gia and Thien Thuat communes to organize a series of humanitarian activities in Binh Gia and Thien Thuat communes. This is a practical activity to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (November 23, 1946 - November 23, 2025).


Accordingly, in Binh Gia commune, the Organizing Committee organized a Humanitarian Market, giving 300 gifts to 300 poor households and households in difficult circumstances in the two communes of Binh Gia and Thien Thuat (each gift worth 800 thousand VND, including: cooking oil, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, egg noodles, rice, blankets, mosquito nets, clothes, cakes...); awarded 15 scholarships to 15 students who overcame difficulties and studied well in the two communes of Binh Gia and Thien Thuat (each gift worth 2.7 million VND); organized 2 "0 VND" booths (including instant noodles, milk, masks, shampoo, conditioner, old and new clothes...) and provided free medical examinations, medicine, and free haircuts to serve people in need. The Youth Union of the Logistics Department, Provincial Police also supported 40 more gifts for households in difficult circumstances in the two communes, each gift worth 500 thousand VND (including blankets and sheets).


At the same time, the Organizing Committee awarded funds to support the construction of charity houses for 2 households in difficult circumstances (1 household in Binh Gia commune; 1 household in Thien Thuat commune), each household received 50 million VND; awarded funds to support the repair and upgrade of classrooms at Ban Chuc School, Thien Thuat commune with a value of 70 million VND; organized a "Charity meal" for 244 students at Thien Thuat Primary School for Ethnic Minorities. The total value of the program reached over 500 million VND.


The series of humanitarian activities in Binh Gia and Thien Thuat communes not only provided timely support to disadvantaged households and poor students who overcame difficulties, but also spread the spirit of sharing and kindness in the community. Thereby, contributing to strengthening people's trust in social security programs, affirming the role of the Provincial Red Cross in accompanying the locality in taking care of people's lives.
