Summer art classes at the Provincial Youth Activity Center attract many children to register.
Since early June, the Provincial Youth Activity Center has coordinated with the Hoa Binh Youth Union and Childfund Vietnam to organize the Summer Opening Ceremony 2025 and respond to the Month of Action for Children. With the theme "Prioritizing resources to complete goals for children", the program has created a vibrant and joyful atmosphere with many meaningful contents: performing arts, giving gifts to children in difficult circumstances, promoting child protection skills in the online environment, introducing gifted classes, opening free swimming classes...
Comrade Nguyen Nhu Quynh, Director of the Provincial Youth Activity Center said: "Summer is the ideal time for children to have fun, practice, and discover new things. The Center strives to create creative and useful playgrounds so that every child can have a memorable summer, contributing to nurturing dreams, orienting personality and comprehensive development."
This year, summer activities were organized simultaneously in residential groups, youth union branches, and associations. In group 1, Thai Binh ward ( Hoa Binh city), the youth union branch organized many meaningful activities for children such as: basic English communication classes, instructions on drowning prevention skills, organizing folk games, thematic activities...
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Linh, Secretary of the Thai Binh Ward Youth Union, said: "We want to create a useful living space, helping children limit the use of electronic devices, instead practicing physical exercise and developing social skills. Activities are organized in residential areas, easy to access, suitable, so they attract children to participate."
Thanks to the innovation in content and format, summer activities have become a favorite meeting place for many children. Hoang Minh Quan, a 5th grader, shared: "I really like English class and playing games with the members. Every activity is fun and I learn many new things."
In parallel with the activities at the facility, the Provincial Youth Activity Center has deployed nearly 20 classes and summer clubs in 2025 with many subjects such as: martial arts, dancing, fine arts, organ, guitar, soccer, swimming, yoga... Scientific schedules, reasonable tuition fees, and dedicated teachers are plus points that help the summer classes at the center always "sold out". As of mid-June, nearly 2,000 children have registered to participate in summer talent classes at the Center's facility 1. Notably, there are free swimming classes for children in difficult circumstances, helping them equip themselves with essential life skills and prevent drowning accidents, a burning issue every summer.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, a parent of a student in the swimming class, said: "I feel very secure when letting my child learn to swim at the center. My child learns to swim and the skills to handle dangerous situations in the water. This is a very humane and practical activity."
This year, soft skills classes, military semesters, and volunteer activities for the community have also been promoted. Through models such as "Military Semester", "Life Skills Experience Week", "One-day Soldier Class", etc., children are trained in discipline, independence, team spirit and love for family and homeland. In many districts such as Lac Son, Mai Chau, Kim Boi, Youth Union and Young Pioneer organizations coordinate to organize activities to care for children, give gifts, repair and renovate playgrounds and entertainment areas for children. In May and June, the whole province mobilized hundreds of union members and young people to participate in "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday" associated with caring for the lives of children in difficult areas.
Not just a summer meeting place, summer activities have truly become a connecting space, where children can develop comprehensively in terms of physical, intellectual, moral and social skills. Each small activity, each gift, each class contributes to creating a beautiful, peaceful and meaningful summer. With the attention from authorities at all levels, Youth Union and Young Pioneer organizations and the enthusiastic support of parents, summer activities in 2025 contribute positively to the care and education of children.
