Since early morning on November 22, at the relief goods gathering points, motorbikes and trucks, big and small, have continuously stopped, carrying full boxes of drinking water, instant noodles, banh chung, life jackets, cold medicine, bandages and a series of essential items. All have the same heart towards the people in the flooded areas.
At 26 Ton Duc Thang Street (Hoa Khanh Ward, Da Nang City), a group of young volunteers from the SOS Da Nang group were busy sorting goods and quickly loading each box onto a relief vehicle.

Mr. Ha Ngoc Dao (member of SOS Da Nang group) said that as of this morning, the group has received more than 1 ton of rice, 800 boxes of noodles, more than 100 boxes of milk and many other essential goods. “For us, each box of instant noodles, each package of medicine sent is like sending a message: People! Hang in there a little longer, we are coming,” said Mr. Dao.

At the gathering point on Tran Quoc Toan Street (Hai Chau Ward), instant noodles, cakes, milk, medicine, clothes... were continuously sent. An old man brought a few kilos of rice, a worker hurriedly sent a box of instant noodles he had just bought at the supermarket, many young people brought warm clothes... contributing to sharing the difficulties, helping the people of the South Central region to soon stabilize their lives after the flood.
Ms. Trinh Thi Ngoc Huyen (Hai Chau ward) said that after sorting and packing, the group will urgently move to the deep flooded areas of Dak Lak province. For the next shipments, they will contact the local authorities of Gia Lai and Khanh Hoa provinces so that the authorities can approach and support the people.
“The Central region is harsh, everyone understands. Looking at the people in the South Central region fleeing the flood, I remember the flood in Da Nang at the end of October. When it was the hardest, just a box of noodles or a bottle of water was as precious as gold. Now that I am still standing in a dry place, I will contribute as much as I can. I hope people will try to overcome this,” Ms. Huyen shared.

In addition to the goods voluntarily contributed by the people, many local businesses also quickly participated, supporting transportation and supplementing necessities. Volunteer teams were on duty to classify, pack and clearly note each package, and at the same time connect with local authorities to ensure smooth and appropriate distribution.
In just one morning, Da Nang residents donated tons of necessities. The first relief trucks have started moving toward provinces isolated by floodwaters such as Gia Lai , Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, etc.
Despite the bad weather and road cuts, the volunteer groups persisted in their goal of delivering goods to people in disaster-affected areas. They brought not only food and medicine, but also faith and the warmth of human love.
