Da Nang regulates the operation of 4-wheeled motor vehicles

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Quang Nam has just signed and issued Decision No. 17/2025/QD-UBND dated July 29, 2025 regulating the time and scope of passenger and cargo transportation by 4-wheeled motor vehicles in Da Nang City.

Accordingly, 4-wheeled motor vehicles (4-wheeled electric vehicles) are allowed to operate 24/7 on all roads with signs indicating a maximum speed of 30km/h applicable to all vehicles.

Four-wheeled motor vehicles are allowed to operate on roads with signs indicating a maximum operating speed of 50km/h applicable to all vehicles.

This regulation does not apply to military and police vehicles serving defense and security purposes.

For transport business units and units operating internal transport by 4-wheeled motor vehicles, they must organize transport activities in accordance with the provisions of law, based on the routes, scope, and number of vehicles permitted to operate passenger transport business to request the issuance of badges according to regulations.

Four-wheeled motor vehicle transport business units shall, based on the route, scope, and number of vehicles permitted to operate passenger transport business, request to be granted a badge according to regulations.

Responsible for developing and implementing plans for parking arrangements and using power stations to operate vehicles in accordance with regulations and in accordance with the number of vehicles and permitted routes.

Comply with the adjustment of competent authorities on routes, operating time and number of vehicles; publicly announce and post routes, operating time and transportation fares for passengers to know.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City requests the Department of Construction to coordinate with the city to consider adjusting (restricting, stopping operation) the operating range of 4-wheeled motorized passenger vehicles and 4-wheeled motorized cargo vehicles;

Determine and publicize the number of four-wheeled motor vehicles operating in passenger transport business in accordance with the current status of traffic infrastructure and organize the issuance of "Passenger Vehicle" badges according to regulations...

Da Nang City Police deploy this decision to relevant professional units to organize inspections and closely monitor schedules, times and scope of activities in accordance with legal regulations.
