Previously, on the evening of November 18, Nam Tra My Regional Medical Center received three patients in serious pain, needing urgent transfer to another hospital. However, due to heavy rain, darkness and the road not being clear, the medical team could only provide first aid and temporary treatment, waiting for favorable conditions to transfer them.

At around 10am on November 19, National Highway 40B, the Bac Tra My - Tra Tan section, was temporarily repaired and traffic could be resumed. The Nam Tra My Regional Medical Center quickly coordinated with the Bac Tra My Regional Medical Center, the Command of Defense Zone 3 and the Tra Leng Commune authorities to transport the patient across the dangerous landslide area.

According to Dr. Tran Van Thu, the road from Nam Tra My Medical Center to the landslide area at Tra Giac quarry (Tra Tan commune) was extremely difficult. At the landslide site, the regular militia force of Tra Leng commune and the patient's family had to use hammocks to carry the patient, cover him with tarpaulin to avoid the rain, and bring oxygen tanks to support his breathing during the entire journey through the dangerous road.

After nearly 20 minutes of crossing the landslide, the three patients were taken to a safe area, where an ambulance from the Bac Tra My Regional Medical Center was waiting to continue the emergency journey. By 2:30 p.m. the same day, all three patients were safely transferred to a higher-level medical facility for timely treatment.
