On July 13, the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) organized a seminar to promote tourism in Japan. The program is part of a series of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
Mr. Uchida Shusuke, Deputy Chief Representative of JNTO, said that in 2022, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Japan will be about 284,000, ranking 4th among key markets.
From January to May 2023, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Japan was approximately 262,000. JNTO's goal is to welcome approximately 500,000 Vietnamese visitors in 2023.
The Japan Business Association organized an artistic light show along the Han River to attract locals and tourists on the evening of July 12.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism , said that the Japanese market is identified as a key market for Da Nang tourism with stable growth. Currently, the demand for travel, trade, and tourist exchange between cities of the two countries, including Da Nang City, is favorable thanks to the tourism opening policy between the two governments.
Da Nang City has been striving to become an attractive destination in Asia. In particular, new and outstanding tourism products have been invested in such as: Mikazuki Resort & Spa, Sun World Ba Na Hill tourist area, Asia Park, Nui Than Tai Da Nang Hot Spring tourist area...
This is an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Mr. Binh proposed that in the coming time, the Japan Tourism Promotion Agency in Vietnam continue to coordinate to organize cultural exchange activities, festivals, events, market research promotion activities and exchange of visitors between destinations. The Department of Tourism of Da Nang City is always ready to accompany tourism businesses and implement tourism development activities between the two sides.
