Bloomberg's Mark Gurman initially reported that iOS 18.2 would be released on December 2. However, that didn't happen, leaving many fans wondering when Apple would release it.
iOS 18.2 will be released on December 9?
Now, a message from UK carrier EE seems to have accidentally revealed the official release date of iOS 18.2. Specifically, EE has sent a notice to customers that the "Wi-Fi Calling" feature will stop working from December 9. In the message, the carrier said: "We would like to inform you that, from December 9, you will no longer be able to use the EE shared number service on MacBooks and iPads. iCloud number tracking and sharing will not be affected. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this update."
Typically, carrier updates come alongside iOS updates, so the announcement from EE could be a sign that iOS 18.2 will be released on December 9.

- Image Playground: Lets users create fun images in seconds, with options like animation, illustration, or sketching, built right into the Messages app and a dedicated app.
- Genmoji: A feature that allows users to create custom emojis by combining two images, simply entering a prompt like "monkey with pink hat". It is unclear when Vietnamese language support will be available for this feature.
- ChatGPT Integration: Users can allow ChatGPT access to Writing Tools and other features to improve feedback.
- All-new Mail app: Helps users manage their inbox more efficiently with categories like Primary, Transactions, Updates, and Promotions, along with a new summary view.
