Initial information from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman indicated that iOS 18.2 would be released on December 2nd. However, this did not happen, so many fans are questioning when Apple will choose to release it.
Will iOS 18.2 be released on December 9th?
Now, information from the UK carrier EE seems to have inadvertently revealed the official release date of iOS 18.2. Specifically, EE sent a notification to customers stating that the "Call over Wi-Fi" feature will be discontinued from December 9th. In the message, the carrier said: "We would like to inform you that, as of December 9th, you will no longer be able to use the EE shared number service on MacBooks and iPads. iCloud number tracking and sharing will not be affected. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this update."
Typically, carrier updates are bundled with iOS updates, so the announcement from EE could be an indication that iOS 18.2 will be released on December 9th.
