On October 23, a representative of the Department of Health of Bac Giang province said that, regarding the case of employees and workers of Shinsung Vina Company Limited (Song Khe - Noi Hoang Industrial Park) suffering from food poisoning after eating a party at noon on October 20, up to now, 89/91 patients have been discharged from the hospital.

The remaining two patients have no more digestive symptoms but are being treated for other illnesses at the hospital.

Previously, at noon on October 20, Shinsung Vina Limited Liability Company (Song Khe-Noi Hoang Industrial Park) organized a party for employees and guests of the Company.

The company hired Yamoto Vietnam Joint Stock Company (address at 16/144 An Duong Vuong, Phu Thuong, Tay Ho, Hanoi ) to prepare, serve meals and organize meals at Noi Hoang Soccer Field, Noi Hoang Commune, Bac Giang City, with 1,160 participants.

Meal includes: Seafood soup, steamed king prawns with coconut water, rare veal with lemon, fried squid with butter, honey grilled chicken, grilled catfish with galangal and fermented rice and vegetable rolls, seafood spring rolls with avocado cream, sour catfish soup, stir-fried vermicelli with seafood, BBQ ribs, vegetable salad with sesame sauce, banana flower and pig ear salad, shrimp and pork spring rolls, white rice, grapes for dessert, Pepsi.

After the meal, on the morning of October 21, 91 people from the Company who had lunch on October 20 had to be hospitalized for treatment with symptoms of abdominal pain, vomiting, frequent diarrhea, dizziness, and fever.

To date, authorities have not been able to identify the food that caused the food poisoning because the meal menu had many dishes; there are no 24-hour food samples left. At the same time, when collecting information, cases of food poisoning do not remember or provide incomplete information.

To determine the cause of food poisoning, the Bac Giang Provincial Center for Disease Control took 25 samples for testing, but so far there are no results.

To continue investigating and handling the above food poisoning case, the Department of Health of Bac Giang province requested the People's Committee of Yen Dung district to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to continue investigating, verifying information, completing case files, and handling food safety violations against organizations and individuals causing food poisoning in the area according to regulations./.
